Tripture SiYa - Best Homestay in Chikmaglur - Home Stay in Chikkamagaluru, Halelakya - Chikkamagaluru, India

The property is in a great location, about 7-8 km from the city. It provides a spectacular view of a lake and a tiny hill. Mr. Darshan, the caretaker, was excellent. During our two-day visit, he took excellent care of our group. The house was reasonably clean, and the property owner was pleasant. However, there were regular power outages, and we didn't get hot water until late in the afternoon.

We went there as a large group and had an amazing stay at this beautiful secluded place. The host Mr Deepak was very accommodative of our requests and our care taker Mr Sandeep was kind enough to help us through our stay. Would definitely recommend for group or family stays.

Such a memorable 3 days stay with my friends, The stay has good view and good area for playing and clean neat and hygiene rooms and the caretaker anna over there helped a lot over arranging everything we asked.

The stay was good and the person took care of everything that was essential for the stay. We enjoyed the climate and facilities provided by the person. Environment around the stay was also so good

The place is very nice and it is viewpoint is superb and first time I have taken a homestay.

The property is close to the city with food delivery options. That's probably the only good thing about the property and experience we had there. We had booked the place through AirBnB for 2 nights. The place is listed as new on AirBnB so doesn't have any ratings. We booked it only coz of Deepak being listed as a Super Host and the Google reviews of this place. From the get go we had a horrible experience. The care taker wasn't at the property when we reached and when he came he had the smell of alcohol on him. He gave us a walk through of the property and told us he won't be staying at the site. He'll be a call away, for a property that's off the road and doesn't have any habitation around other than another homestay besides it. That itself was the 1st red flag. Secondly, the property seemed new, but all linens looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. The bathroom faucet and pot were leaky, some doors didn't lock and a fan wasn't working. Thirdly, we faced frequent power cuts and we were told there isn't any power back up either. When asked about it, they sent an electrician who said these are planned power cuts and it should be back at 7pm. It didn't and when it did come it didn't stay for 15min even. As a family with my parents and a small kid, we were made to feel extremely unsafe and vulnerable. The caretaker didn't respond or wasn't around most of the time. We called the owner, Deepak, and while he sweet talked that it's what happens when you pick a homestay, and not all amenities are perfect, he didn't object on any of the issues. As if he was aware of the problems but didn't give a damn anyway. Later in the evening he suggested that we move to another property, Tripture Mallandur Homestay, of his but we'll have that only for the night as it was booked for the next day. There also we observed the similar lax conditions with a diseased dog roaming around in the compound and a kitten moving in and out of the kitchen. The staff was inconsiderate as well. Overall, a horrible experience and I would steer clear of any properties listed by Deepak.
