They have best Bengali food in Vellore. This is located near Gate 03 of VIT. You can have Chicken & Mutton Biryani, Chicken,Fish and Veg Thali for lunch. They serve good snacks as per menu. Food is absolutely brilliant.Great taste they have with cheap rates. Thier Ambience is not to good but still taste compensates for it. If you are a Bengali its a must visit place for you. They do Outdoor catering also. They take Cash and GPay/Tezz. Soft drinks are available there. Overall a great experience here.

This place is a really low cost one. It's quite good for students who want a quick inexpensive meal. At lunch, this place serves BENGALI dishes, including plain rice thali containing steamed rice, a fry, a potato gravy dish, dal, salad etc, and various preparations of FISH. This remains the only restaurant near VIT to provide fish dishes prepared in bengali style. For dinner, this place serves only fast food and chicken gravy dishes. No bengali dishes for dinner are available.
The only restaurant nearby VIT serving Bengali dishes - ranging from dal, Alu Posto to Telapia Machh er Jhol (Fish curry)! Food items are properly priced.
Tripti is a really nice place to eat at, if you are low on cash, as the food is inexpensive. It serves mouth watering home food. The best thing to have is the normal thali, which costs Rs.50, and you get unlimited rice, dal, one vegetable dish, a papad and lemons,chillies with it. The fish, cream chicken and the mughlai parantha are also very good!
Cleanliness might be an issue but the food tastes good and puts no pressure on your wallet. No money and want to eat outside might be the best choice around VIT. Specialties Mughlai and Palak Panner tastes good.
Best place to have bengali food if you are in VIT...its near gate number three.I have tried fish curry means katla mach (115/), and mutton (190/)here.quality of food is good.only thing I missed is fried potato or alu bhaja and chatni.they served only rice and fish curry.same for mutton also.But away from home this is heaven.all bengalies give a try.
Mughlai parantha is the best to be eaten here. Place doesn't seem that hygenic. Prices are very low.
