TripLounger - Travel agency in Gangtok - East District, India

Worst travel agency ever. It was like a nightmare to me. I had booked it for my honemoon tour. They gave me the packages with the name of the hotels mentioned for 4star property for which I transferred money to them 2 months in advance, but still they didn't booked any hotels of my choice. The day when i reached and asked for my requested hotel, they straight away denied and at the last moment they said that we cannot do anything you may take your refund. Dinner date was included in the package with liquor, which never happened, and at the last moment they said to make the payments for the dinner date on my for which i will be reimbursed, which never happened as of now (6months passed). Sam is worst person you can meet. Manish was helpful but he had limits. No proper planning, worst experience, worst service, they don't pickup the calls as well. If there would have been an option , I would have given negative ratings

I'd never recommend this travel agency to anyone. They changed our hotel in the middle of the trip and again when reaching a different destination; they booked us a different hotel than the one we preferred since we're willing to pay for a good amount but he sent us to a non star hotel which we're quite disappointed. Please save yourself from such disappointment and frustration. Day 1:the flight got cancelled because of the restriction in the bodogra's airport and almost all flights were cancelled. Day 2: It wasn't our fault that the bus arrived late. We passed on to you the details of everything happening in the journey Infact, we're the one with the disadvantage as we didn't get to explore Gangtok as much as we wanted but we did not complain about it. And yes the agency changed our hotel in Pelling even before month of booking. The rooms were supposed to be with a view as promised but you changed it altogether but even then we're being cooperative with you. And FYI PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH There are 3 hotels of Nirvana in Darjeeling and my wife had pointed out to you in the chats. It was Udaan Nirvana. They gave is a 1 star hotel Nirvana with really bad rooms but the owner was kind enough to keep us in good rooms and shifted us. Kindly please check and make sure you don't make the same mistakes with your other clients. And the worst thing, Sam, there was no more response from you after all that.

The trip was planned wonderfully with good amenities and services. The car, driver, hotels everything was up to our expectations. Giving 1 STAR due to Unprofessional and unresponsive attitude of owner Sam. The refund of our booked stay at one of the properties was cancelled the last minute by hotel itself and our money return is still pending since last 2 months from TEAM TRIPLOUNGER. The team is non-cooperative and constantly delaying in addressing our simple issue. Full of liars and fraudsters. Very unpleasant experience in the end due to financial fraud.

Worst company! They are real cheats! The worst experience in the whole lifetime of my family since my great grandparents! They will not send the cars on time and innocent tourists have to wait for 2 hours minimum and waste their time.. They take overpriced money and are cheaters. The WORST! Never book them and spread the word guys.... They don't lift calls (a worker SAM is indisciplined) and make you wait without any hope.... NEVER EVER EVER use them....

It was a very very bad experience. In other words, they are cheaters. On the first and second day they show up atleast 2 hrs late and make us wait in the lobby for hours together. On the third day, they don't even show up and keep postponing the time. First they said 9:30 but didn't show up, we tried to call them continuously but no reply. Finally, they replied and they blame us in return for not specifying the places though we clearly mentioned to them all the places for which they agreed as well. After lot of explanation , they agree to send a car at 2 for knly one of the places which also doesn't appear!! We kept calling and calling but no reply. The agent , Sam was extremely rude to us and the company ignored us terribly. Due to this, we lost this money and also the hotel money prepaid in Darjeeling. Terrible terrible customer service, they are real cheaters!! Pls pls pls do not book with these people , there r hundreds of other travel agencies and opt for them instead. They made us wait for hours together and wasted the time of innocent tourists with the only intention of enjoying and taking a break from work tension in their home towns. Again, pls do not book with these ppl and spoil ur holiday. I rly do not want anyone to face this so pls be careful ! Our holiday down the drain just because of some irresponsible agency. We have complained to the Sikkim tourism and hope for them to get caught as soon as possible and not be able cheat anyone again.

Worst trip experience Tips to plan: 1) Do not pay 100% advance to TripLounger keep at least 10% on completion of trip 2) Do not pay for the Permits in advance Nathula, Zero Point pay for it a day before your trip. You might cancel some trip but will not get any refund 3) Usually the permits are cheap at just Rs 500/1000, the extra cost that all travel agencies charge is for the additional Fuel to reach these destinations and make some additional money 4) Book hotels on your own through direct hotel websites it's cheaper 5) Tip the driver well and he will take care of you My concern with TripLounger: I had booked a travel only trip with TripLounger for 8 days on 27-Apr and specifically asked for a Innova Crysta for comfort. After reaching Gangtok the car was changed on the pretex that the battery of our assigned car had gone bad suddenly. Our trip to Nathula got delayed by a couple of hours because of this though a new Crysta was organised. Our car was given to someone else without informing us Next day trip was planned to Lachen, Lachung and we had no clue of the vehicle. We were constantly calling Sam and Manish for the vehicle. Sam did not pick up the call. After spending the entire first half on followup with Manish finally a Innova ( not Crysta ) arrived at 12.30 and we reached at 8pm in the evening exhausted at Lachen. Mr Manish promised a refund of Rs 3,000 for the change in Vehicle which is still not done. On the last day, trip from Gangtok to Bagdogra was done in another Crysta car. While on the way it was luch time and we had to stop, but Mr Manish asked the driver not stop for Lunch and take us straight to the Airport as the same car was supposed to be used for a trip back. Somehow we convinced the driver to stop and finished our lunch in a rush in 15min ordering food in advance. Mr Sam and TripLounger; families come for a vacation so that they have a hassle free experience. No body wants to come on a vacation to spend half a day coordinating for the vehicle that you have planned and paid for the trip in advance. I would not recommend TripLounger to anyone.

Trust me all the positive reviews are paid these guys are completely fradulent. I had made the booking in December'21 with this scamster guy named Sam. It is a one week trip 2 days in Darjeeling,2 days in Gangtok and 1 day in Lachung, 1 Day for transit from Bagdogra(to and fro).I am on the trip now when I am writing this review. We have made the full payment to Sam and he has now paid another 3rd party for our trip but the 3rd party hasn't received the payment from Triplounger. We are stranded as Sam and the other guys from Triplounger are not picking up the phone and our driver refuses to pick us up until they receive the payment from Triplounger. Now in this entire mess it is us who is facing this despite making the payment in full. Hence to all those people out there trying to make their travel plans with Triplounger please be away from these touts. Please pay a bit more and book better travel agents. They will tell u all lies to book the travel with them. *PLEASE REFRAIN FROM TRIPLOUNGER*

Planned 2 nights 3 days North Sikkim tour with them. Had an overwhelming experience overall. Hotels were very good with great hospitality and service. Especially the staffs were very humble and well-behaved.
