TRIP TO DANDELI TOUR(Fly Catcher) - Resort hotel in Dandeli, Badgund - Uttara Kannada, India

Me and My friends went on trip to Dandeli, After comparing and seeing google reviews we decided to stay at Hotel Fly Catcher(Dandeli Flycatcher Adventures and Resorts, Address: 7G6Q+PX9, Ganeshgudi, Karnataka 581186), It was an absolute disaster and a very bad experience after staying at Fly Catcher. Before booking the room the Manger(Alveen) of hotel Fly Catcher took all responsibility and committed to provide all basic amenities to us, From the moment we booked and checked in, we were greeted with poor service from the hotel management. They seemed disinterested in providing us with any help or guidance, and it was evident that they did not care about their guests' experience. As we settled into our room, we noticed that water supply was severely limited. The water pressure was low, and the water was murky and discolored. so we asked the manager to change the room, and when checked the other rooms was also in the same condition, In one of the room i saw Cats brought meat of big rats from outside and left all over the room, even after eye witness the hotel service person asked us to stay there after he cleans that mess. For money these people will ask to stay anywhere. It was evident that the hotel had not maintained their most of the rooms and we were extremely disappointed. Finally manager provided the same room where water supply was not there and asked us to use other public bathroom. After check in, an hour later the power supply gone, when we asked the manager to start the generator then the response was like this, If the hotel is having enough customers then only the Generator will be started otherwise we need to wait till the power supply resumed from Govt. Besides, As alternative we asked for lamps or candles for time being, they dint supply that also as it was not available. the power came after 3 hrs. Air Cooler- Air Cooler was not working well, when we asked to put water to Air Cooler for cooling they told that if we put water then it will leak, so they provided table fan that was too dirty to use and one more thing is we need to take that inside our room, service person will only leave outside of room. Service- When we manually requested the service person to help with food or any small request for issues with room, his attitude was like he's a Owner of that hotel, after multiple request to manager the service guy will come to your room to ask what's happening. To make matters worse, the room was infested with worms, bed bugs and insects. It was clear that the hotel had not taken any steps to maintain the room's cleanliness or ensure that their guests were comfortable. The unhygienic conditions made us feel disgusted and uncomfortable, and we did not want to stay another night. On the Next day morning when we woke up at 7:00 AM to get ready the water supply again got stopped for all rooms, when we asked why, the response was they can't keep the water supply on for whole night, There were some families they also faced the same issue. Overall, We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and we hope that the hotel management takes steps to improve their service, water supply, and cleanliness in the future.

Beautiful resort with very good amenities.. Trekking is awesome one should never miss here at fly catcher resort..

Food is okay, had chapati and veg kolhapuri, Lemon juice was great.

A resort with nice hospitality and food. Near by only you can find the water activities. It's better if you take everything as a package. The trek of morning from the hotel was really worth. All three times you have buffet food with three to four options. As the resort is in between the forest n near to river , need to be little cautious for little insects. They have a parking space as well for cars and bikes. Staff is very cooperative. Worth for money place with all activities.

People should improve on service better, other than that everything is good

Amazing resort at the river bank. If you want to stay in the nature surrounded by jungle and river. It is the best place to choose. Biggest advantage of staying in this resort is you do not have to go anywhere for water sports activities since you can enjoy all water sports activity in the resort itself except long river rafting. Food is also good here. Staffs are also polite and cooperative. Eijaz, the owner of the property is very humble guy. He allowed us to keep our luggage in a room near reception area even after chcekout. He helped us in booking cab for local siteseeing. Also for long rafting booking. Overall awesome experience.

We went for a day outing with friends. Water activities are really good. But first of all finding the place itself was not at all good experience, as there are no proper sign boards like other resorts. And apart from water activities, nothing else felt great. Ambience is OK, but cleanliness is not at all good. Changing rooms doesn't even have most necessary things
