Awesome place to visit, there is no too much crowd on this fort. This fort is located just near to the Igatpuri. The best season to visit this fort is the mansoon. There is a Jain Leni at the bottom of the fort. It's mostly ruined but still gives a good feeling. The water comes from this cave is just amazing and very tasty. This is an very easy trek recommend for all type of the people's. This fort is 10-12 km from igatpuri station.

The cleanliness of this place was very great. It's a basic track, for continuous walking just required 30min and with breaks approx +1 hour required. Other side steps are a little bit slippery in the monsoon. The last few kilometres to base the road were in bad condition. At the parking point water and food is available...

Nice trek .. the base is a little far inside from main road . Also road is very narrow and sharp turns near village.. Big busses can not go inside . Only mini busses and 17 seater is preferable... It has Jain caved temples at base of Adinath bhagwan.. it becomes difficult while heavy rains due to wind...

Presence of Jain Caves near Base looks very old.The fort was built to overlook the trade route which connected Konkan to Nashik area.

One of the easiest Trek. Started ascending from Jain caves, do not forget to check out VeerGal(Veergal is dedicated sculpture of a warrior who has sacrificed their life in war, this is carved on the rectangular stone. This veergal has a hand attached to it which is called Saticha Haat which is in remembrance of the wife of fellow warrior who's went to nirvana with him after his death. Monsoon is best season for Trek to TringalWadi, we go from the carved steps route, which are bit slippery in rainy season. There is very small risky patch to ascend and then the steps to follow. Once the steps end , there is huge Lord Hanuman carved in wall. Descended from the other way which are enrooted with ruins of castle, water tanks, Bhavani Devi temple. The temple is small which can accommodate 2 people only. Short and simple trek of an hour. Carry your own food and water. Take a guide from base village for proper exploration, they charge Rs.100/-, its worth helping them. Taking care of our surroundings is a responsibility we all share, and it starts with keeping it clean

Behind the Ghatandevi Temple lies the Tringalwadi Fort, situated at an altitude of 3000 ft above sea level. The height of the fort offers a scenic view of the Konkan and Nashik route. Believed to have been built in the 10th century, the fort attracts trekkers and hikers. The top of the Tringalwadi Fort looks like a turban and overlooks the entire mountain range. A Hanuman temple is located at the foot of the hill next to the Tringalwadi Lake. The Talegaon Lake formed by the small dam is located a few kilometers away from the area. Although the exact period of construction of this fort is not known, however, by virtue of 'Jain caves' near the foothills, one can roughly estimate the fort to be in existence since 10th century. Also there is no evidence regarding the period during which it was under control of Marathas, however, during the year 1688; Mughals took control over the fort by perfidy.

Medium difficulty level fort. If you want to visit there are two ways , one from Igatpuri and second from Take Village. Turn towards village at Hotel Grant Pariwar near Ghoti Toll Plaza. If you coming from Mumbai Igatpuri side then turn left and if you coming from Nasik, Ghoti then after crossing toll plaza turn right. From Take village the distance is about 10 to 12 km, Road is not in good condition. After crossing Tringalwadi village the last stop is Patryachi wadi. Park your vehicle over there and start walking towards fort. Take left from small pond, you will reach at the ancient Jain Cave (after 15 min. walk- 1km.) then from the southern side start climbing. Road is not difficult. After about 30 min. you will reach at the plateau. Then turn towards right. You can see two stones and the gap between them. There are two different routs from these stones. From its left small foot way going towards Konkan Darwaja. It is little difficult way for old and ladies. Right way is little easier. Under the cliff you go parallal seeing the western side of fort. After Konkan Darwaja there is Hanuman Temple. You go about 200 meters and you can see the ramnets of old structures. Then climb littlie bit towards flag, that is the highest point. from there you go towards north , descend towards a small temple. take some rest. Perform whatever activities you planned and start to descend the fort from east side. Now you can see old ponds (Take) carved in the Basalt rock as it is commenly seen in other forts. Dont drink that water. within 20 minuts you can came at the foots of fort.
