We were 2 families here in Montina for the weekend. Location is 10/10. The villa is good with all the basic amenities required. Has microwave and refrigerator too. Food is disaster, veg and non veg both servers here at around 600 per person. The rates are too high for the quality of food served, also it was tasteless. We all including the kids couldn't eat the food. Same was the view of other visitors who were having food there.
One of the most serene locations. We visited Trikaya during monsoons, and this place was breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms felt luxurious, the food was delicious and the staff are extremely courteous. Definitely recommened a weekend getaway to detach from the hectic work life
Beautiful location, the road is well built till the location. However once you enter the gate and drive up till the parking, there is no road and the pebbles can be dangerous to your car's tyres. We booked Yahvi and the room itself is very basic, nothing fancy, but I guess they are charging for the facilities and view. I hope they will fix this. Food was delicious, views were gorgeous, hospitality was prompt. Beautiful experience overall.
Extremely hospitable staff, amazing location, very convenient to reach by road, and yet so secluded, they even have their own waterfall. 10/10 would recommend. Had an amazing stay with delicious food, would love to visit again.
Its just about ok, nothing much to do except waterfall, no room service at all, even for senior citizens, each time even for basic Tea/ Coffee 1 needs to walk to the restaurant in that diff terrain. Lot of insects, food needs to be pre decided. Extra Towles will not be provided, not even for the swimming pool. Not that cheap also for the facilities provided. Was a bit underconstructions so the constructions started as early as 10 am so cant sleep for late hours.
It was my first experience with Trikaya retreat. The place is very remotely located. You need to have your own vehicle to reach the place. Otherwise private auto n cabs will charge a lot to n fro from this place. Since I visited it in the monsoon, there was a lush greenery around. The villa booked had a nice room but there was no hot water. Unfortunately we had to bathe in cold water despite having cold weather outside. The caretaker Mr Deepak was a nice, warm person. Overall staff is really nice n warm but considering the amount charged for rooms n food, the food was quite okay, not great. It didnt have variety. We checked in by 5 pm and missed our lunch. Like other resorts in the market, I thought the lunch will be carried forward to next day but to my worst surprise, I was told to pay extra for lunch (Rs 550 per person for veg meal). It was quite an unprofessional n greedy gesture I felt. We were charged Rs 2500 for extra 4 hours extension in lower standard room than what I had booked. They had initially refused to give towels during extension time. But later on one kind guy managed it for us. Overall considering the price charged, food n room quality and the remote location, I feel its overpriced n overhyped resort. I will not visit it again n wont recommend it to anybody.
Excellent stay at Trikaya Retreat.. Amidst nature you can feel like being close to heaven.. Property has scope for improvement and so is the food.. However, we just loved being there with ghats view right before our eyes from the balcony..
Beautiful place in mother nature. Loved the food!! And the property has its own waterfall which is so clean and was best part of my stay!! Must visit in rains and winters.
