Treebo Trend Majestic Retreat - Hotel in Varkala, Edava - Thiruvananthapuram, India

We were a group of 40 and had the entire resort to ourselves. The place is amazing with a lake and they have boats to cross the lake. On the other side there is a private beach which is super clean with crystal clear waters. Food is cooked by the resort family members and tasted too good. There is a beautiful lawn, but the view of the lake is too soothing and calming. I highly recommend this place. The owner is very friendly and service is too good.

We stayed for the night of October 19th 2023. The property was good and as seen in the pictures. The location is also very good just next to the backwater and there are boat, kayaking facilities available at extra cost. The beaches are also close by. Unfortunately the lunch was not available and dinner was also very limited to only Chapati and dal. After reading the reviews of the hotel restaurant, this is not what we were expecting. The next day breakfast(included with booking) was very bad experience. There was only dosa in the breakfast with chutney and sambar dal. No other option/dishes were there. There was no milk and they got was black coffee and tea. Upon asking milk for my kid, the receptionist said milk is not available and cannot be arranged. I have been to a long trip and staying in various places during this trip and no hotels have ever denied to give a cup of milk in the breakfast. Even though it was a weekday and not many guests were there, the hotel should provide the same experience as on regular days.

Amazing place to coool down. Away from the hustles and rush and closer to sea. The immediate back water gives you the pleasant experience of swimming and then take a boat provided by the hotel to visit kappil beach.. rooms are worthy and clean. Only AC can be a problem sometimes but manageable.

Location is good to relax and rooms are neatly maintained. Small property with nice staff. Food is prepared after ordering,good homely feel food. Wifi can be improved. From airport cab charges around 1800 and from edava railway station location is nearer. Beach is near. Also kayaking can be done at property.. chargeable though.

About Treebo Majestic Retreat Varkala First of all I will not recommend this place to any of my friends colleagues or relatives. My experience is below with both pros and cons. This is not a resort. It is a property where some closely packed rooms are available for rent. Nothing to explore. It is a very small place with limited water frontage. We went as a family of two. Booked two rooms. AC was not working in both rooms. They changed our rooms. It was only possible because we went at off season. Had it been fully booked we would have to stay in that sweltering room. The new room was not any better, it had a moldy smell. The toiletries provided in the wash room is not good, you can see that people has used it before The hair dryer provided along with the room was not working The bidet was not working and had to use mug and bucket. Tea or coffee sachets were not provided along with the kettle. You will have to wait till 8 in the morning to get the kitchen open and have tea. What takes the cake is the food. The food is served in old, scratched up black plastic plates which is off-putting. Only homely (naadan) food is available. Complimentary breakfast is a joke . We were not even offered a menu to select from. In short a normal local hotel food served at four star hotel price. So almost all the cons are covered here To the pros The backwater access and beach is lovely. You have to cross the kaayal in a canoe(vanchi). The beach was very clean and secluded. We had a blast in the beach. This place has this unique feature of both backwater and beach access. I so wish they had better people to manage this place and lift the standard. Even though the food and room was not up to the mark , the beach lifted the general mood of vacation.

A refreshing experience!! Kerala traditional food is the highlight there. Must try their Appam and kadala curry. It was delicious and Kerala sadya and Kappa fish curry was also very tasty. Please expect a delay of 30-40 minutes. Otherwise the experience was awesome. I would recommend people coming here with their friends and family.

Location of this hotel is really amazing. You can purely experience private beach access. Food is is very nice here. Hats off to Manjus food recommendations. Authentic Kerala taste they have. Shrikant thank you for arranging our rest of travel very well. Management is really nice here. All staff is very nice felt like a family. Location and the privacy.

We had an awful experience at this so-called "resort." When we checked in, the rooms had a damping smell, The bathroom was not clean at all. There was hairs all over the bathroom. It seems that the people stayed earlier left and did not clean it. Even though two rooms were changed, none of them were clean. musty smell However, when I try to turn it on, the AC does not work. I struggled all night and when I woke up, the water did not come in the bathroom. I was stuck in the bathroom for hours without water. There is no one there to manage the service. Price is very high but don't worry their hospitality is very low.
