Travellers Inn - Hotel in Vaikundam - Salem, India

Not worth for the price. You can stay in a good hotel in Salem city for the same cost. They don't have basic amenity like lifts. Staffs aren't aware of basic hospitality & empathy. They say the fare is for 24 hours. But expect you to check-out earlier. Money minded. Faced frequent & multiple power cuts during our stay. Room was much smaller than what you will get at a similar priced hotel. Also, they said they don't provide extra bed as room is small and you have to take an additional room. They were not willing to provide room service for breakfast. Later they agreed to provide room service for aged parents and say others should go down and eat food. We had booked 2 rooms for 4 adults. After an argument, they agreed to serve food for all. While checkout, the staff asked me multiple times whether I would claim GST with the hotel bill or not. They were fully hesitant to provide bills. I lost patience and said keep the bills yourself and walked away. Room was small & compact. It was clean though. Bed was smaller than a queen size. It can't fit 2 adults if one among them is obese. AC didn't had power backup and it got switched off and switched on multiple times due to power cuts. Presume the light and fan had power backup. But it also went off and multiple times we had complete power cut for few minutes. It would be 2.5 star rating for the room. The frequent & multiple power cuts should lower it to 1 star rating. Worst was the staff behaviour, lack of hospitality and empathy. Felt like I am staying in a cheap hotel where you were treated like a slave (instead of a guest). It would be a complete negative rating. If you are someone who prefer good hotels, you should avoid this.

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Since it is located on the highway, it is ideal for an overnight stay when you need to break the journey. There is a very good vegetarian restaurant attached that serves quality, tasty food.

A good highway motel with neat & comfortable rooms for short stay / over night stay / refreshing . 12 hrs - 1360Rs We booked 2 rooms & was good. A Restaurant is available in the ground floor. Few shops for snacks , women wear & men's wear were in this campus. Located just by side of highway before toll gate.

Comfortable stay for travellers taking a night break. Good restaurant on the ground floor , ATM and a couple of shops. Room tariff is high for a 12 hrs stay considering the type of room and its facilities.

Nice place and actually quite large. The snacks served here is quite good and they have a large collection of meals to choose from. Most of the buses from Bangalore to Kochi stop here if you are taking the morning bus enroute

This property is close to vaikundam toll plaza in Salem to Coimbatore bypass. This is my regular place to stay whenever I travel to Coimbatore. They offer rooms in hourly basis ie. 12 hour or 24 hour Complementary breakfast offered in the morning was good. I usually stayed in single occupancy only. Rooms are good only. For short stay is okay only.

Nice hotel between Salem to Coimbatore Taste is awesome Please try mimi tiffin at morning time I really eat more then 50 times And also evening chats are also delicious Please try samosa and also sweets are also preparing this place Washrooms also more number having this place because of more people travel from Bangalore to Coimbatore This place having Electric change station also for electric bikes and cars Toys shops also there

Non-AC rooms get really stuffy and hot even though the weather outside is quite pleasant. Keeping the window open works but you'll also give the mosquitoes a really good time. Bargain a little and pay the extra 200 or 300 bucks and get an AC room. Only this is quite comfortable and worth spending the night at. And make sure you shut the windows. Food at the hotel is indeed a treat. Their crisp Ghee Roasts along with the special onion chutney is definitely top notch. The complement breakfast you get is also a really neat combo. You get an Idli Vada, little Pongal, one Dosa, a Poori, Kesari, a little Upma, Potato Sagu and a good cup of Coffee. Quite filling and satisfactory. Their WiFi was down when I went and they don't seem too keen on fixing it. So don't rely on that completely. Overall it was a decent stay. Does the job of providing you a break of journey at a reasonable price along with good food. My rating : 3/5
