You can book a certified guide, buy tourist books and souvinirs, understand the do's & dont's. The officials are helpful and friendly. Be careful of hawkers and unofficial guides and in any doubt visit the tourist information centre for help! It is situated at the South gate after security check. The guide even took amazing pictures of my husband and I.

If you are a foreign tourists to the Taj Mahal you can buy a ticket with a guide only. The guide is optional but quite helpful. Unless in other places these also do not beg for a tip or ask for anything, even though a small tip may be nice.
