Don't go with kids as it's on the tip. For Adults a good adventure kind of experience. You need to sneak past between rocks and then slide through rock to get out. You sit under the rock and have an opening like a tortoise and hence the name.
Best experience I ever had in vagamon. I didn't really expect this. It felt like a jungle safari, walking through the forest narrow road under the trees and thrones and all the way to the mountain. The mountain is so steep I can't climb but while climbing it seems easy. All the way to the top. At the top there is this, rocks. You need to stick to the rock and climb it's really difficult to climb but after climbing there and watch the view menas you will feel like you are alive. I can't explain the feeling of it. If you are coming to ramakkal medu you should come and visit this awesome place. I would like to visit this place once again.
Wonderful place to visit. Just go and sit and you will feel the wind talking to you. What a cool place. To experience the thrill just go for off road drive in the jeep.
Off road jeep safari is nice experience. Not suitable for children and kids.

Aamakkallu as the name implies is a huge rock resembling the shape of a tortoise. It is located in a higher peak on a the left side of the Thookkupalam - Ramakkalmedu route. Even though it is very near to Ramakkalmedu, the well known tourist spot, it is virtually impossible to reach the peak from there.Aamakkallu comprises of two huge rocks which is separated by a vertical crack running through.
Ramakal medu best visiting time is evenings during sunny day .for one jeep they collected 1600 , 8 members accommodate is possible. View point is OK but jeep travel is very thril . Entrench fee is 25 inside have children park here they bring 15 rs place is ok
Such an amazing place to unleash your mini-adventure spirit. It is a very exciting experience to crawl and squeeze through caves. The inside of the cave is quite chill and the views are amazing. Must go.
