Toranmal Hill Resort Cottages - Hotel in Toranmal Hill Station - Nandurbar, India

Toranmal hill station is one of the very less developed hill stations in Maharastra. Though this place is not yet fully developed one can go here for weekend for relaxation and enjoyment. There are not many points or places to visit here but still toranmal will not disappoint you. One can enjoy the views of valleys here and can visit temple and nature rides. Toranmal has a very beautiful lake where one can enjoy boating and roller ball rides, which will truly add up to fun. Not many resorts or hotels have come up here but one weekend home style lodging "Vimlabai resort" is available to spend the night. they have limited but very excellent staying facility. They have three rooms, 2 on first floor and one on the ground. 2 rooms on first floor has an amazing view of the lake and very big balcony. Freshly home made food is served here, nut i bet one would not have enjoyed so tasty home made food. Food order has to be placed at least 3 to 4 hours prior. Please make sure you have at least one BSNL connection sim card with you, rest networks do not work here. a ride through valley to reach up toranmal is an added enjoyment, a ride which is almost 25 to 30 kilometers long with steep and hairpin bends. roads are fine and you will get your all daily needs available like toiletries, eating materials, medical shops, cell phone recharge, alcohol of good brands (not through bar or wine shop - one resort sells it - reasonable price) and etc.. keep your self free for sun set after 5pm, you may want to take few pictures there, carry a bottle of whisky to add up the fun!!!

Very basic accommodation with almost no facility. But food is very tasty. They used to cook organic foods including veg and non veg. Really worth experience the lonelyness and natural beauty by staying in this cottages. Campfire , Treaking in near by area are some fantastic activities. Very near to sunset point. The panoramic view of jashwant lake can be enjoyed from this place.

Oldest place available at hill station. Best location, between massive cliff and just opposite to lake. Current condition of rooms are bad. Rooms on upside campus is better than rooms in main campus near lake. They are planning for big renovation woth new buildings having morden amenities. Hopefully it will be ready soon. Food made here is quite tasty and budget friendly.

TORANMAL HILL STATION Situated at an altitude of 1461 m, Toranmal is perhaps one of the most peaceful places on earth. Toranmal falls in the Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, surrounded by Satpuda hills. Flanked by the 7 hills of the Satpuda range, Toranmal nestles among varieties of flora and fauna. It is one of those rare places which are not crowded by many people but the natural beauty deeply touches every visitor. Narrow hill roads, fanned by thick wood, Toranmal, has beautiful lakes and old temples. Yashvant Lake is visited my many every year. It is a natural lake and offers breathtaking views of the hills. The Goraknath and Nagarjun temple are visited by thousands of pilgrims. The grand fair of Maha Shivratri takes place in front of Goraknath temple every year from March to April. This fair attracts hundreds of people every year. People from different states also visit this fair

Best place to visit , less hotels but if improved , it is the best hill station , better than Saputara In rainy season

I HAD STAYED IN THIS RESORT AROUND 3 YEARS BACK. IT WAS A FAMILY OUTING. WE WERE 15 MEMBERS . THE JOURNEY ITSELF IS VERY PLEASANT THROUGH THE DARK FORESTS . MOREOVER IT WAS RAINING HEAVILY. YOU TAKE A TURN FROM DHULE AND REACH TORANMAL. THE RESORTS ARE AWSOME. THERE IS A LAKE AROUND WHCIH ALL THE COTTAGES ARE BUILT. TWO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THE ATMOSPHERE HERE : RAW NATURE : AMAZING EXPERIENCE. AT THAT TIME THERE WAS NO RANGE FOR ANY MOBILE. SO IT WAS VERY VERY SILENT. ONE OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE PLACES. MUST VISIT. RECOMMENDED.
