Good tourist spot. But public transport is less . I have searched tiger,but in vain. Other animals are seen. Elephant feeding is shown.

One of the most underrated wild life reserve in TN if your are nature lover you should explore once in your life time only negative point is food cost food cost are too high definitely Tamilnadu forest department should reconsider and revise the price list Near by Parambikullam forest department canteen they are charging 70. Nice place to visit. Once we reach their we have to take ticket for jungle trip by their vehicles. It is 236 per head. Nice travel guide and forest department driver. We found different types of deers, elephants, monkeys, all of the above we saw a large sized Tiger. It was really a good trip. Now days Elephants safari is not providing. There is good canteen,food is really good but price is little bit high.

Anaimalai Tiger Reserve, earlier known as Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park and as Anaimalai Wildlife Sanctuary, is a protected area in the Anaimalai Hills of Pollachi and Valparai taluks of Coimbatore District and Udumalaipettai taluk in Tiruppur District, Tamil Nadu, India. The Tamil Nadu Environment and Forests Department by a notification dated 27 June 2007,[3] declared an extent of 958.59 km2 that encompassed the erstwhile IGWLS&NP or Anaimalai Wildlife Sanctuary, as Anaimalai Tiger Reserve under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. According to the National Tiger Conservation Authority, the Reserve presently includes a core area of 958.59 km2 and buffer/peripheral area of 521.28 km2 forming a total area of 1479.87 km2.

Very nice place for one day activity. I'm very much impressed by its scenic beauty. People near Coimbatore and Tirupur can visit with in 2hrs. Here they have elephant safari starts from 7:30am everyday; which looks like very entertaining for kids and adults too. Also, when it rains; there will be no words to describe the beauty of topslip's nature.

Good place to visit for nature lovers. Drive and views are great. Chances are that you see deers, Wild boars, Bisons and Elephants in camp. But seeing a Tigre or leopard is very very rare so avoid huge expectations.

Anamalai Tiger reserve is a perfect weekend gateway, the nature and adventure inclined. Need minimum 3 hours to see sight view of parambikulam forest.
