Tom's - Non Vegetarian Restaurant in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

Got a take away from them last weekend. Tried their Chicken Ghee Roast Biryani. Must say I did enjoy their biryani anyhow what I loved even more was the butter chicken sort gravy they had served along with it. Was a spectacular combination! Significant quantity provided. Chicken was cooked very well and well packed.

I visited Tom's Restaurant with my family for my dad's birthday dinner. The venue was quiet and I was pleased to find that there was ample parking for my car. We sat at a table for 4 since we were 4 and made our order. The food arrived and the waiter kept buttermilk initially and then served food. As he served food, he dropped the buttermilk which he had placed on the floor and some spilled on the table as well. While he sorted out the issue by getting it cleaned and getting a replacement glass, instead of apologising for the mistake he pointed out that we should have taken the 6 seater table nearby as it would have avoided this disaster. Despite this pathetic experience, the other staff were courteous, esp. the guy who took our order and overall the food was great and tasted scrumptious. I would have given 5 stars if not for the pathetic experience with the waiter because I was overall happy with the ambience, food, price and every other aspect of our visit. I did initially feel some disappointment that soup was not included in the Mangalorean cuisine as I was really looking forward to some seafood soup but nevertheless it wasn't a big deal as opposed to this mishap and further reaction by the unapologetic waiter. I really hope that Tom's improves their service so I can change my mind and perhaps visit with friends and family again in the near future for a better experience.

The best place to eat.. one of the old place in Bangalore. You should check it out. I absolutely love the ghee prawns fry.

Went for lunch, this place has a vintage vibe to it. Loved the ambience. We ordered non veg items from b the menu - Chicken pepper fry was my favourite from the order. Chicken biryani (Plain) tasted good as well. For dessert, ordered Banoffee pie. Loved it. Would love to visit again !!

Ordered the biryani nd it was horrible, no taste nd the rice was dry. Over nd above they charge 350/- which is crazy. Seeing the reviews decided to order but the entire family was highly disappointed. Would never suggest anyone to try. Khazana/ fanoos are way better at just half the price.

I visited toms for dinner. The service was not that great. We have ordered appam but the ones received are not freshly made. When asked the waiter was bluffing like it is because of the fan even though it was kept just a minute back. Later they re heated the same and served again. So, no appam is made fresh at least for dinner. Vindaloo was soo sweet and tasted like a thick tomato soup . We liked the chicken sukka which was nice.

The food was fairly nice and the service was also okay, though the server refused to share the WiFi password with us. We were dining with our guest from Singapore. She came to India for the first time. Not a very good impression on Indian hospitality.

It's right on the Richmond Road. Service would be a bit slow but the food is superb. Especially the Chicken Ghee Roast Good place to go with your team if your office is in a nearby location.
