Toddy Shop - Restaurant in Pookode, Kunnathidavaka - Wayanad, India

This is an old house renovated as a toddy shop. There is no food available. Only boiled eggs are available. I don't think toddy is fresh. Not recommendable. They are not accepting any upi payments or cards. They accept only cash.

after seeing the old reviews don't expect the shop to have variety of side dish. Only boiled egg will be available as side dish that to we have to peel the shell and eat The drink was okay.

Great natural ambience. Drink is unadulterated so safe to drink. We drank in the evening so it was a bit sour.morning could've been lot better. You drink in the naturally very good location. That's something to experience.

The place needs revamping. The toddy is good quality, but food isn't upto the expected level.

Only eggs

Living in Kerala, I come across a lot of toddy shops. The thing with toddy shop is that, the toddy here is not pure. It is manipulated to have booze. It gets fermentated. It gives the effect of liquor. The food here is spicy. If you are coming from a place where toddy shops are not common, you must try it. If you want to have natural toddy ,it is best to get it from some place that directly sell to you. Those toddy are taken from the coconut tree without being manipulated. If you looking for an experience, I suggest that you look for natural toddy shop, other than the one set up to attract tourists.
