Temple is good but Tonusure place ( mude serutha edam) not hygienic. The barbers are not following hygienic and laser they were not washing properly from one person to another person and didn't maintain . Hot water facilities is not there

We went to this temple on a Kiruthigai star day and it was pleasent day.
They are anouncing free, free dont give tips to Barber. But Barbers will not shave your head with out getting money. They forcely ask 50 rs per person .
Maintained very well, neat and clean, simple place, breakfast available near the temple, visit between nov to Jan or when it rains.

Good experience. Be carefull with the monkeys, try to carry bags with full closed type. Special queue and normal queues are clubbed finally inside. Best thing is going in 25Rs queue, it is almost similar to 100Rs queue. There are few hotels near the temple, food was somewhat okayish. Don't try parota. They use readymade parota mix and heat them. If you're hungry you can eat, for taste it is not worth. There are a lot of toys shop, don't buy in 1 shop, ask and compare the the the prices in more shops, almost every shops has similar toys. If you have luck, you can bargain and get 50% off from the price they quote initially.
Very much organized for tonsure... It was just quick for my son and we went in special darshan for 150 rs per head... Overall experience was awesome godliness

I visited on Friday early morning at 6 am there was no crowd. If you are planning to visit on special occasions please plan accordingly. There are more parking facilities for cars and bikes they charge 50 for car parking.
A very good route to walk and reach temple. One straight road from Karthikeyan Illam. You can take a vehicle too. There's parking space at the end. There's adequate lighting to drive/walk back if it gets too late in the temple. But beware of monkeys.
Thirutani was one of the arupadai veedu of lord Murugan. The last visit to the temple was way back in the early 90's almost 25 years ago. So it was in our list of travel destination. Its located on a slight hill top. The parking charges are around 50
