Tippu Summer House - Historical landmark in Nandi Hills - Chikkaballapura, India

Perhaps in the olden days this place had grace and wealth. Now, due to lack of maintenance, this building is almost falling apart. There is huge growth of wild trees all around and monkeys jump about. Seen people climbing up to the top of this building, which seems quite dangerous, and also not good for the maintenance of this historic site.

When I visited, the doors of this summer house were closed and architecture wise it's a good one to see while you visit the Nandi hills. This place has historical importance because of the Stay of Tipu Sultan here and was built by him during his reign. This place is something like a house, I don't know whether you can call it a Palace because it's not big enough to call it a palace

We reached this place after trail for 1 hour. It's an old ruined place. Just good for photography. It's mostly closed from all sides but still people climb all the way to its terrace to get photos clicked. One time visit is enough for this place.

As the name says, it's a summer guest house for tippu and the view from the top of this house is incredible you will see the sunrise in between trees. You can also relax for some time just sitting on top of it if it's less crowded.

Best place in Bangalore for one day trip.

This place is inside Nandi hills. And this is visit is chargeble. Entry fee is 150 rs if you are traveling in 4 wheeler. When you enter inside the gate in left hand side you can found it. Beside this there area swiming pool and old nursery. In front of this place you will get a bus to go to hill top.

Maintaining the place is a great thing. The colors are still so nostalgic. Its near the entrance to the nandhi hills and you would not miss this. The rush is humungous in the weekends and other holidays so be cautious about that. Its called the tipu's guest house, a small 2 story building in which many of it are fainted. Anyways this could be the last place to visit in Nandhi hills and even if you miss to see, not a big deal.

This palace was initiated by Haidar Ali and completed by Tipu Sultan and was used by the latter as his summer resort. It was also named by him as the Tashk-e-Jannat, meaning the envy of heaven. The construction is mainly of wood and displays brilliantly carved arches and pillars along with the beautifully painted walls and ceilings
