Timbuctoo - Lounge in Mumbai - Mumbai Suburban, India

The area has a shared wall with Poptates and the ambience is more calm than its neighbour. The food was delivered very quickly and the servers were very good natured.

I would have given no stars bcoz of d Dj. 2 stars is only bcoz of d food and the service they had. We had been to dis place early also and d experience was too good. But this time when we had planned a birthday party for one of our friend, it was not so good experience at all. D Dj was of no literally. He was playing vague party songs and that too d whole song. All d paras. Which Dj does this. He not interested at the songs that he was playing and the crowd, whether we were enjoying his songs or not. but He was more busy with his mobile. D whole time. Might or might not come and depending on today's experience would never recommend this place. As said before, 2 stars are only bcoz of the service and yummy delicious food. Thank you

Timbuctoo in Malad is a favourite hangout. It's food menu is similar (same) as that of pop Tate's but it's more pricey. However, that's justified since it's private, more upmarket and offers a better experience. As pop tates a more sporty - loud place - timbuctoo is more relaxed, playing retro music (English) and has a more snotty crowd (me likes). On Saturday when we went there, it was buzzing with a positive vibe, friendly like. Whenever I go out, I like to chat to strangers on other tables, strike up conversations and have a ball interacting with the staff - they can be quite entertaining at timbuctoo I must specify. The neighbouring table was celebrating a family birthday and the staff entertained with ringing bells and doing a jiggy shake to happy birthday - and we joined that table for a piece of the delectable cake. Yay!!! What I like are the amazing tex-mex dishes on the menu. The chicken quesadillas, the fish fingers with tartar sauce, the tortilla chips with cheese and beans - yum de dum!!! Had the barbecue chicken sizzler - absolute favourite and scrumptiously filling. Overall:- friendly staff, prompt service, good portions and value for money. Only upsetting this (for the 3 star rating) is that they levy a service charge and yet the service staff are eager beavers for tips - rather a bit in your face that ain't cool! Otherwise - if you wanting a relaxed time out on a weekend after a hectic work week and are in the Malad area - this one's perfect!

Nice place to hangout. Just felt the quantity of some food is much less compared to other lounges. But in all service and ambience are friendly making it little comfy and cool.

Great place to hangout with friends It's just beside Pop Tate's and awesome/peacefull surrounding Staff was polite and enjoyed the happy hours for drinks Also, got complimentory desert from their side

For those who are not aware it's part of Pop Tates and in same premise. Good large screen to watch sports with friends. But food was a let down as both veg and non veg sizzler we ordered was surprisingly burnt badly. Variety of dishes was available but hope other dishes they won't over cook or burn

Reached this place on a friday night at around 9:30 pm for some drinks and food. There were literally 12 people seated on around 4 tables. For starters the music was waaayy to loud. The cricket world cup was being screened live however there was still no crowd. We decided to stay. Ordered a few rounds of beers, rum and gin. For food we ordered the Pepper Blasted Fish which was decent, the Meat Load pizza and a Grilled Chicken Sizzler, which were both good. By around 11 PM we were the only people in the place. They DJ had turned off the music and left for the day. The staff kept asking us if we needed anything and was literally begging for us to leave even though we still had our drinks and food on the table. We finally finished and left by 12:30. Poptates which is next door was still playing music as we left. This place was dead by 11 PM. Overall, food is decent as the kitchen is shared with Poptates, however the ambiance and service is horrible.
