Definitely the top 10 beaches in India. Unique til type black sand. The hike is around 20 minutes. I had visited this place back in 2015 now in 2023 it's become more touristy and you will find lot of crowd.
Its beautiful black sand beach. Just like stepped into unimaginable place. Its worth trecking through the hills and rocks to reach the destination.. Must visit. Highly recommended place to visit with friends.. You can enjoy the sea view through the hills. Amazing place.. Its like sesame beach, matte black sand.. Must visit to experience this black sand beach.
Wow. It was an amazing experience at the beach. It was so empty felt like whole beach for me. And it's insanely beautiful, Hidden in the hills.
As the name of the Beach suggests. The sand is like black beads like Til. Or looks like Tea leaves. This unique beach is an hikers treasure. There is no one and nothing on this beach. It's a secluded beach that you can visit during the daytime. Accessible by boat from Pollem Beach and via trek from Karvar side.
The way to get here is a bit unsafe, however, at the end there is bliss. A must visit place for teenagers and traveller's as it also includes a small baby trek as an adventure.
I was just zooming out Google Earth as a part of my journey from Goa to Kundapur and ended up noticing this place. I am glad that we could visit this place, this is beautiful black sand beach and sand looks exactly like sesame seeds hence the name (in hindi). From the base it takes close to 800m to reach the beach. It's a rocky terrain and I recommend carrying good shoes which we missed though. Beach is bit deep and it's better not to venture into deep water. I also recommend outsiders to visit it in the morning or in groups because place is bit isolated and no one can come to rescue if any untoward incident happens. Don't follow google map routes or there is a location says parking, it will be a problem and there are narrow roads. It's better to spend sometime to look for parking and don't take cars near the location since there is place for only 2 cars. It's a well preserved beach and please maintain the cleanliness and don't throw plastics and love mother nature.
As they say, the journey sometimes is more interesting than the destination itself, same holds true in this case as well. After a 20 min walk encompassing two hillocks we reached the beach, which is unique due to the black sand. This place is not accessible during monsoons, but I saw a boat carrying tourist from the nearby Pollem beach, so I assume you can visit all year round by taking this boat, please check before though.
Beautiful scenic beach located in Majali. The beach identifies it's soil as black soil and hence it's called as Tilmati beach. One can even enjoy a beautiful trek from the beach side to reach the black sand beach. Easy accessible by bike and cars. The beach is tranquil and often not much crowded leaving it serene and clean .Must go if you are in Karwar.
Wonderful location atop a hillock providing a breathtaking view of the Kali river meeting the sea. What makes it even more worthy is the historic backdrop of a fort nestling in the lush green forest alongside the beautiful green-hued Kali waters. The
You can park your vehicle here if you are planning to visit tilmatti beach. This is the nearest possible parking space. They will charge Rs.50/- per vehicle. This space can only fit 5-6 cars.
