I recently visited Tikkar Taal, a beautiful lake nestled amidst the mountains, and I must say, the experience was breathtaking. The serene surroundings and the calm waters of the lake make it a perfect getaway spot. The lake is surrounded by a park that has various playing options for kids, making it an ideal spot for families. There are many water activities available, such as boating, speed boating, banana and sofa boating ride, which add to the fun. The restaurant and rooms at Tikkar Taal are managed by the Haryana Tourism Department. Although you can pre-book the rooms online to avoid unavailability, I must say that the food was not up to the mark, and the charges were quite high. However, there is a bar that serves alcohol and fine dining options. If you are looking for other accommodation options, there are a couple of other hotels and homestays in the vicinity. But if you want to enjoy the beauty of nature and indulge in water activities, Tikkar Taal is the place to be. In conclusion, Tikkar Taal is a perfect spot for a weekend getaway with family and friends. The beautiful lake surrounded by mountains and the various water activities available make it an ideal destination. However, it is advisable to carry your own food or explore other dining options in the vicinity.
the haryana tourism should look after the rates and the service provided by the staff . they are white collar robbers . total wastage of money . if you are comming to tikkar taal don't plan for stay .
Such a nice place to see, located in haryana near by pachcula and 260-270km distance from delhi. Lovely place for a short outing for a day or two. Tikkar taal is so beautiful with mountains all around. Lots of water sport activities are there like boating , parasailing and jetski. Restaurant and bar operated by Haryana tourism are also there. One of the main attraction is a waterfall near lake. Adventure park is also there with 2 min walk from the lake where you can spend some time with kids. Entry charge is 50 per person.

1hr drive from Chandigarh this place gives experience no less than likes of Kasauli, Shimla. We leave our home early at 5AM cause it was summer season and boy oh boy the fresh air we felt on our vehicle while driving was more than worth it. After reaching their we eat at the cafe located in Tikkar Taal. And after that we sit together and talk a lot in the heart of mountain and a river. We were alone there. After 2 hours other tourists started coming and made the place more attractive. After all it is the people who brings life to a place. Parasailing costs 1500 INR. Boating costs 1000 INR Ambiance - 4/5 Crowded - 4/5 Helpfull staff - 4/5
This is perfect place for weekend specially for who reside in Chandigarh/Panchkula. Its is 2-2.5 hour drive from Panchkula. Even can enjoy the view on the way towards the place We visited the tikkar taal where we did boating. A well spend day.
For one day short trip this place is good and weather was awesome in monsoon. I can't believe this is in Haryana. If you are a wanderer and want to visit nearby hills then I definitely recommend this place. Tikar taal resort is mind refreshing and there you can feel the breeze playing with your cheeks and hair. I love this place specially it is in Haryana and not much far from Ambala.
Five stars for the place. Very less crowded, Very clean as it is very less explored. What can you do here? Sit in lap of nature Boating Gain knowledge about medicinal plants Now coming to the bads. The food here sucks, no taste at all. The rooms are 2015 per night and not so good so that is a bit costly.
