Tijara Fort-Palace - 19th Century, Alwar - Featured Reviews (2683)
The overall experience was peaceful as I was looking for the same. My son, a five year old kid, liked the place so much that he wanted to stay there forever. If you are looking for a royal treatment and an isolated place then this place is definitely for you. Don't hesitate
Although it's a unique experience to live in such a resort, but the constant construction work is a bit turn off. Also though they have labelled the rooms as 'Mahal', the rooms are quite smaller than expected. Food is quite awesome and service is also good. Also location and the road leading to the fort is also not good. I think they should reduce their tariffs as their services are not worth what they are asking.
Beautiful property. Nicely done rooms. They have done the best they can to a 19th century fort. Their service is too good. I would revisit this property just for the experience. They had a very unique spread for dinner and all the items were outstanding.
I and my sister enjoyed the weekend at this place. There are a couple to things that bothered us. Firstly the road leading to the fort was winding, scary and run down. Perhaps the hotel doesn't have permission to develop it. The hotel is stunning, the renovation work is spot on. The best part was the greenry inside the fort. The one thing that really irked me was how they treated the drivers. Firstly they didn't bother to inform us at the time of checking in that at nominal fee, they will provide food to our driver. To top it off when he came to know about the facility and went to have his dinner, they refused to serve him rice. Because of the location of the fort and the surrounding areas, it was not possible for him to have a proper meal. Kindly endeavour to treat the service class with dignity. Everyone knows the amount of food that goes waste in hotels. Honoring a request for food should never be turned down in my opinion.
Amazing place for unwinding. Lush green property with spacious rooms. Sustainable property, amazing from all corners. Has small play area for kids. Saturday cultural show is a big big addon. Staff was very courteous. A good place to be with family amidst nature.
We stayed at the resort twice in the past. This time we went with a friend who is looking at the place for a wedding. My observations: 1. The resort is good for heritage hotel seekers. It has interesting rooms and decor. 2. The place has too many levels so it's not friendly for elderly in the family. Though now they have 2 golf carts, which could be helpful. 3. Service was good and the staff is well trained and polite. 4. The food used to be very good earlier. The quality of food has taken a huge dip. Neither are the main dishes tasty nor the sweet dishes. The only things that I liked were one of the soups and the roti/ Naan. Need a major overhaul. It is not at the level of any Neemrana resort. 4. The place is very far and with unclear directions. Had difficulty reaching and coming back. The resort could provide a proper map. Google is confusing.

Don't hesitate. The best part was morning breakfast, lunch, high tea, And dinner all were at different places, they gave different names to the rooms as we stayed at Vaani Mahal. we went on the Diwali holiday and did pooja with the owner and staff.
On top of a small hill, this heritage property is a must visit in monsoons. The rooms are spacious and decorated. The linen and the bathrooms was clean. Yes bathrooms. The only thing that lacked in the room was storage space which a few shelves in the cupboard could solve. We went for an occasion and Mr Sagar organised a private dinner. The service at the dinner was nothing short of having your personal servers wait on you. The food could have been better. Especially the buffet. Recommend it for a weekend getaway.
