The food consistency has always been on and off in Metropole. I like the vintage Vibe of the place and recently i visited this place for hi-tea. There were hardly 2 tables around 5pm 1 table with a foreigner and one was ours. They were being attended every now and then whereas our table was not attended nor the staff looked like they were interested in serving us. This is not the first time i have felt this kind of negligence in Metropole. Highly disappointed and would not be recommending this.
The food quality was satisfactory, but unfortunately, the service was severely lacking. I had to repeatedly ask for even basic things like water, and the older staff members were notably slow.
The atmosphere was decent, but the prices were slightly on the higher side. Additionally, despite a 10% service charge being levied, the overall experience was marred by the expectation to leave a tip, which I eventually did for one person.
The most uncomfortable part of the meal was having to request a change of plates due to an unpleasant egg smell.
Considering all these issues, I cannot recommend this place if you value good service and hygiene.
It's a shame because the property holds historical significance, and with some attention to detail, they could create a wonderful dining experience.
One of the overhyped, overrated restaurant in Mysore. These guys display old traditional furniture and ambiance to attract foreign visitors. Loot them with fake dishes and drinks. I have visited here with family after getting trapped for fake google review. Food is below average and price does not justify the taste. Worst ever service experienced, no basic ethics of taking orders serving customers and interfering frequently while having food. More interested in cleaning quickly than serving. These guys don't know the magic of good tasty food.Many better options are available in Mysore with great ambiance and tasty food. Please note you can't find this restaurant in google map in one go. We were staying at Metropole . Hence we visited Tiger trails for dinner. Lovey ambience. Although the place was crowded, the staff was extremely cordial. We wish to thank Mr Nagabhushan for his recommendations. The food was well prepared and very tasty.
The stand out was the sugarcane vegetable starter.
Beautiful place and very well maintained too. I liked the food very much and I think the menu is little bit pricier for the portion size they serve. Overall it's a heritage place of Mysore, worth visiting and trying their food.
An amazing place for dine out with family! The food options are great ranging from South Indian cuisine to North Indian cuisine and they serve decent Continental dishes too. What stands out for this place is the amazing ambience which has a heritage royal touch to it. Service was 5/5. Overall, a good place within affordable budget.

They literally handed soup bowls in hand without any plate or spoons
The manager was trying to scratch the vessel for left over soup to be served.

The worst part was the Kulfi, at such high end place I except some decent dessert
The Kulfi ice cream candy with stick was served, by removing the stick and cutting it into 6 pieces.
The Rs25 stick was just cut being served for Rs300
Soggy papads, Poor salad dressings and list just goes on.

Delicious, fresh, fluffy idli! I love the tanginess of the fermented rice. The coconut chutney was just the right balance of cool and spiciness to make me practically spoon it into my mouth. The vada was hot and crunchy. See you next Sunday!
