Tiger Hill - Tourist attraction in Ooty - The Nilgiris, India

Good experience calmly and pleasant stay. Food taste is good thanks to Mr. Balasubramanian for his management on time food delivery as per your request. Housekeeping service is also good but still room for improvement. Thanks to all staff of Tigers hill (Delightz Inn).

First of all, this is a haunted place because when we went there, there was no one else there except us. If you are going by looking at Google Maps, you will definitely get lost. We took it along the back side of the mountain. but it was a different experience.. It's a very steep climb, there will be good fog at the top and it's a good feeling.. The place is like you see in horror movies..

Ohh my god. My experience when i trek alone inside the forest to the tiger hill was too dangerous and adventurous ...... Actually i went from ootty town to tiger hill by walk, its almost 4-5 kilometers to the entry way of the tiger hill.. I accompanied only Google maps and my Mobile with me.. ((By the way ootty township bans plastics recently so that we won't get water bottles through the way..They are selling only 5 litre water bottles..)). I continued with Google maps and google maps shown me this dangerous entry to the forest.. Before entering into the forest, two villagers sitting beside advise me to not to enter that way bcoz of narrow path and dense of the Forest. But i just tried whether i can enter or not.. Actually i started enter into the forest i got curious about the next.., next and eventually i dragged myself into the deep forest with beautiful bird's warm wishes.. Suddenly i got fear about the wild animals.. So i moved very slowly inside the forest and i have lost my path too... Its became more and more adventerous then..i tried my best to get to the another side of forest.., i used my ears to find some water fall sounds or something. Later i found one lake and i am so delighted.. I saw another path that was not that danger and i crossed that lake.. But i have a request for everyone.."" Please don't throw plastics or unwanted things inside the forest. It kills the forest ". When i enter the wide path i have found a lot of plastics and garbages and so that was easy to find me the another entrance of the forest.. So totally my trek to the tiger hills was so enjoyable, adventurous and dangerous.. I really enjoyed everything.. Thank you. Try don't go alone..

It's a 45 minutes trek from the bottom. Roads are not good as not many goes for the trek. View is kind of same on the way . The water reservoir at the top is the main attraction.

Pristine untouched nature.. Tiger hill reservoir dam is beautiful place to visit, you can walk through tiger trails where you will find beautiful birds, gaur, bisons,malabar giant squirrels, indian fowl,tiger n leopard droppings. Visit only with local and guide. Wilderness untouched here and you may face wild animals. Walk is beautiful.

It's an awesome destination. Early morning I went there.superb view. We had good time today at tiger hills. But it's not allowed to visit there as tourists. Need special permission.

I think there are two ways to go to this Tiger hill because the one that I went doesn't look the same as the photos which was shared by everyone else. I used google maps to reach this location & also checked with the local person to the Tiger hill but couldn't see the lake. May be I couldn't find the path since I went alone & there was no one to ask for the directions. Whatever the one that I went was so cool & it was really peaceful & beautiful. I parked my two wheeler down & walked for around 15 minutes. I'll better share some photos where you can have a better idea about this place.

Very nice place to visit. Google map location is not correct, check with locals for Tiger hill route and go. Couple of dams to see there which is amazing. You have to walk a bit distance as vehicles can't proceed after some point. Not a place to go with family, but bachelors can visit. Be safe, as it is a deserted area. I have visited in March, but if you plan during Oct, Nov this will be heaven as the reservoir is surrounded by trees. Enjoy the trip.
