The place is called the Shooting Range where many renowned movies were shot and till now it's a perfect place for the director to film many songs .
We went on Sunday as usual. The place was a bit crowded. No pre-booking of tickets as it just cost 30 rupees per person.
You can get the best views of the mountains.
Note - Carry an umbrella as it's usually so sunny when you reach there and a water bottle to keep you hydrated.
Good place to visit, large space we can enjoy with kids and family. And little bit careful because there is chance to slip and roll. There is a nice view here and perfect spot for photography.
it is popularly identified as 'shooting point' as many esteemed movies are shot here and it is one of the top places to visit in Ooty. You can experience the breath-taking view of Nilgiris and Backwaters of Pykara are serene and extravagant. The place is flawless and pitch-perfect for walking, trekking or even just for sitting idle and breathing in the beauty of nature. This place holds exceptional support of Ooty tourism and is completely safe for you. This place was used by Britishers for hunting in the past but it only captures the heart of the travelers. It is also one of the prime attractions and you must include in your Ooty packages.
Enough parking space is available.
If want feel some good air and want to view mountains from down this good place.
But I will suggested here for horse ride since main shooting point is more cozy now days and not like previously maintained. The horse ride is available near this point which u can really enjoy almost for 30min in 400-500 bucks
The place is nice to take photos and spend time..
Views from the top (clouds permitting) are awesome & the lush green landscape is beautiful
The approach up has a path, but no steps. Can be slippery when wet.
There is a good, free parking place (maybe 100-200 mts) from the entry, so no need to park on the road.
Entry fee is Rs 30
Best Shooting point in pity, preferred time to visit in the evening 4pm to 6pm and 6am to 9am morning, before visit this you must wear Gloves and Jacket to protect from cold, Required ticket for still or video shooting
