Tibetan Refugees Self-help Centre at Darjeeling, although, it has old buildings but still memories can't fade away with this visit. This has huge impact on visitors that how tibetan refugees took shelter after disasters happened in their country and find their own job and solace here. The photographs of 1960's kept in Museum here rebounds clear messages how well plans executed by Tibetans to survive in India. Both countries leaders strived hard to find good cooperation to success stories of Tibetans. We visited this centre during March 1st week, 2023 and found how nicely Tibetan women weaving carpets diligently with devotion to their self-help job. A statue of one of the Tibetan leader could be seen here. Provision for Parking of vehicles is good. No entry tickets.

There are old pictures and newspaper cutting representing the history of Tibetan refugees here, they also kept few things used by them like a printing press. There is a Buddhist temple here. A restaurant here serves Tea and maggi. This place is near to Darjeeling Tea garden, include this place in your itinerary if you are interested in history.

Place where you can see tibetan history, a cute monetary and beautiful people to interact with. There were stores which sold the tibetan carpet, shawls, cute and powerful flags and you can also taste some of their delicacies as well as butter tea.

This is a must visit historical place for anyone. No entrance fee. There photo exhibition are speechless and lots of collection. This center attracts tourists who come to buy Tibetan carpets that are handwoven from sheep wool. They are not selling any product to local market. But you can buy their handmade product for yourself as a reword of their work. This place is very cold and foggy. 30 minutes to 1 hour is enough for visiting.
