My initial reaction felt as if I had ventured into a foreign land, bewildered by the faces I encountered on the streets. Initially, I presumed them to be Nepali due to the prevalence of Nepali language being spoken. However, I soon realized they were Tibetan, and it became apparent that there was a diverse mix of nationalities among the people I encountered. With its colorful Tibetan prayer flags fluttering in the wind, scent of incense wafting through the air, and the incessant murmuring of 'Om Mani Padme Hum' chanting by the monks, the monastery transports you to the peaceful environs of the Tibetan landscapes. The main shrine room is aesthetically decorated with intricate Tibetan thangka paintings and statues of Buddha and various deities. Watching the monks engrossed in their daily rituals and prayers is an uplifting experience. Though it is lesser known among UPSC aspirants who are focused on their studies, Majnu ka Tila offers a mini-Tibet experience right in the heart of Delhi! Built in the 1960s, the modest exterior of the monastery belies the artistic beauty that lies within. The prayer hall is adorned with intricate Tibetan frescoes and statues of Buddha and other deities. Chanting of monks, aroma of incense and flickering butter lamps transport you to a different world. The monk's quarters, library and even the Tibetan style restrooms showcase excellent woodwork. Beyond the monastery, you can explore curio shops selling Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts. Do not miss out on the international eateries serving authentic Tibetan and Chinese delicacies. The narrow alleys are dotted with cafes where you can sip on butter tea while soaking in the scenes and chatter. It is an Instagrammer's delight with the vibrant wall arts, prayer flags and just the overall aesthetics. So if you are looking to briefly escape the hustle of Delhi, Majnu ka Tila offers you a chance to experience the tastes, smells and visuals of Tibet. A perfect place to relax after your UPSC preparation! This hidden gem is worth discovering.

This hidden less popular lovely place is in North Delhi near DU Campus. DTC and Metro services touch the location. Lord Buddh temple of significance importance is a very beautifully maintained by its management. There are various restaurants which cater Tibetan, Chinese, South Indian and Korean cuisine at affordable price. Eye catching Signature Bridge and Yamuna River are at stone throw from this lovely tourist place. Luxury buses to Manali and Dharmshala are Head-quartered here. There is not much crowd and the place is so located that it radiates peace and tranquillity.

Majnu ka tila is a hub of Tibetan market. It is all about spirituality and some good food of mini Tibet in the capital of India. In addition, there is a market of retail stalls, including bookshops, metalsmiths, internet cafes, and travel agencies.

It is a first/quick review of part of the place. The review is rather for a specific purchase of Tibetan alternative medicine. Again the review is not for the medicine but the interaction by the co-operative. The etibet website- ease of navigation=> good Product => well stocked. Billing, UPI => fair, quick, glitch free Uber delivery (local) => prompt The medicines (ayurvedic) products quantity=> too early to review.

It's a good place but little expensive and the street food laphing people ate is pathetic, i didn't like it, only try half plate, if like it then order more.

Besides this, it is important to note that the location is not large enough to walk around and see everything. The majority of the area is occupied by restaurants, stalls, and bars. So, if you're considering going for a walk. It's not going to work. You'll be bored. If you're concerned about your budget. The price is slightly higher than average, but it is well worth it. You can go with friends and cousins and split the bill later.

IN MKT THEY FOLLOW THE NEW WAYS OF THINKING AND GET THEIR WORK DONE ACCORDING TO THAT, BUT AT THAT SAME TIME, NEVER LEAVES THEIR TIBETAN CULTURE BEHIND WHICH IS SO MUCH INSPIRING FOR THE YOUTH TO LOOK UPTO. Try laphing and boba tea from the streets (near monestry) Nearest metro station: vidhan sabha metro station. Take e-rickshaw from there to mkt. Timings : open all seven days in a week.
