Thriparappu Dam - Ecological park in Tiruparapu - Kanniyakumari, India

Thriparappu Dam is not actually a dam, but a check dam that was built to regulate the flow of water from the Thirparappu Waterfalls. The waterfalls are located just beside the check dam, and are a popular tourist attraction. The waterfalls are beautiful and refreshing, and the area is well-maintained and clean. There are also a number of boating facilities available, but I did not find the boating experience to be very enjoyable. The boats were small and cramped, and the ride was not very scenic. Overall, I think Thriparappu Dam is a good place to visit if you are interested in seeing the Thirparappu Waterfalls. However, I would not recommend the boating facilities.

Tiruparappu falls is good to enjoy with family, friends, solo. Visited : 25/9/22 Bathing allowed. Entry 10/- per head. *****Imp******* Dress changing rooms available. RO Water available. Womens separate bath area available. Be careful while bathing and swimming. ***************** It's 300 ft wide falls. Locker room available to store things charges 30/- If you are reaching falls via bus. From Marthandam bus stand, morning 7 - 7.30 am bus available. Route : 89A, Tiruparpu mentioned, board that bus and reach falls directly. else go to Kulasekaram and then board other bus. Swimming pool available for kids chargeable. ****Providing Water floating tubes. ****Perfect for kids. also Park available for kids, but play area somethings broken. *****Boating Available****** *****Tickets available nearby falls.***** Pedal Boat you can pedal 50/- head 2 Seater & 4 Seater available. I used to visit that place every Saturday and immerse myself in the refreshing waters, and the experience was absolutely amazing! The breathtaking scenery around only added to the overall worth of the trip. It truly felt like a mind-blowing escape from the mundane routine of daily life.

Awesome Experience . If water in this Dam is high , definitely visit here. Must Visit with family and friends . Just a 3 hour ride from Thiruvananthapuram. There are buses to reach this place but had to take 2 buses. Boat ride is very good and cheap compared to other popular places . Both children and adults enjoy alike in this boat ride. I definitely recommend this place to visit with friends and family.

A nice place but plenty of tourists.

Thiruparappu dam was located at the top of the falls... The boat Club and dam was located at the same place... Dam was cross by the small bride over the water flow.. The running water on the dam was looking too adorable and awesome... We can bath at the dam area with the help of standing area in the middle spot of the dam... We can bring kids to the dam with us... Top of the dam some rest places and kids play area are there... The bride of the dam was too good for taking photo shoots...
