Sri Thrikkaikunnu Mahadeva Kshetram is situated in Purakkalam,(Kottayam Malabar-Panchayat) about 1.5 km near Kuthuparamba Town in Kannur District. An important thing about this temple is that it has two "Srikovils"(main place of worship)- One for Sri Mahadeva and the other for Sri Perumal, different forms of Lord Shiva. The temple is one of the largest temples in malabar.
The pond near to it is formed by taking soil for the construction of the temple. U can see that the temple is built in a hight of 5-7 m from ground level. The pond is cleaned and developed in the year of 2014-16 by GOVT and a park is made on its side where people can sit and talk. There is no proper maintenance. The peaceful ambience is awsome for evening walks.
Peaceful environment. Usually no rush as known.
