A divine temple with decent 2 and 4 wheeler parking. Nice and clean ambience. Security guards there ensures noone uses their mobile inside. Do not fall for the fortune tellers that surround this place. Could be kept a little more clean.
The Devi Temple is located in a quiet and peaceful location, surrounded by lush greenery. The temple complex is well-maintained and clean, and the atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility. The temple itself is a stunning example of Hindu architecture, with intricate carvings and sculptures.
A peculiar temple where infinite space is felt though the physical space is very much restricted or even congested. Felt very powerful vibrations. Maybe the temple expands one's innerspace first and then uses that space as well, for the benefit of all. In this way, this old shrine of Chamundi & Kali at Thozhuvancode is far more superior in terms of real spiritual essence than certain crowded Devi temples in Trivandrum that gained recent popularity through gimmick and hype. A true depiction of Gandharva can be seen in the separate small shrine near the main sanctum. The Navagraha shrine is remarkable with the large size of the planet deities. One may be tempted to take some snaps of the surrounding wall that presents stunning paintings and awesome reliefs but it seems photography of these walls is strictly prohibited. There is a beautiful Guru Sannidhi Garden outside the temple. The parking ground is reasonably big. The shrine is open only on Tuesdays, Fridays & Sundays.
The spiritual energy within the Devi Temple is palpable. Whether you are a devout worshipper or a visitor seeking a moment of introspection, the atmosphere encourages a deep sense of connection and peace. The combination of spiritual resonance, and cultural richness makes it a must-visit destination for those seeking a deeper connection with Kerala's heritage and spirituality.
One of Trivandrum's most significant Durga temples. The temple is filled with stunning and ancient statues. The only South Indian temple that does not accept dakshina from pilgrims is what makes this temple special. Additionally, the temple committee does not accept donations for the occasion. You should plan your journey properly since the temple is only open on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
One of the beautiful temple, which opens only on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The main diety is chamundi Devi and pongala is the famous ritual, which is mostly done by ladies. Apart from pongala, hen, goat and other poojas is available. The temple has got beautiful art work and sculptures.
