Thottikallu Falls - Tourist attraction in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

This waterfall is totally dependent on rain water. So try to go there only in the rainy season or a day after rain. Good place for a one day picnic with family and friends. A small bike parking area is there but no place for car parking. You need to park your car at the side of the road. This place is inside a small forest area. Anyone can reach the bottom of the waterfall. You can get the best view from the top of it after a small hike.

Went there on 16th July 2023 in the hope of waterfall, but there was very little water. But you will enjoy the small trek (climb) to the top of it. It was worth my visit. I had a solo trip but still enjoyed it a lot.

It's good waterfall but visit this fall on weekdays early in the morning, but if you go early in the morning then it is good otherwise fall is restricted 1. 20 rs bike parking charges 2. This is a very good place for pre wedding shoot because when we reached there was already a wedding shoot going on and 2 more came to shoot the wedding later. 3. Water fall is good for clicking pics

First of all this place is half day outing place for who stays nearby places and one day outing for others. Such a nice place to visit with family and spend time peacefully choose to nature and journey was awesome once we cross the city. And it's better to carry your own food since no options available there.

When you go to a waterfall, you need to know when it rains to fill the stream. This is one example of such a rain-fed waterfall. If there is no rainfall in the nearby areas, the waterfall is dry and arid. The best time to visit Thottikkallu is the rainy season, specially August to September. If it rains then its a good waterfall. There is a medium level trekking trail. Good enough to feel a body workout. Try to reach early in the morning around 9 00 am. There will be plenty of people on weekends. Nearby crowd from the city pulls itself in large numbers. The place is great with lots of greenery, cool, fresh air, clean running water. You can spend two to three hours on the hill top. The feeling of fresh air hitting you on face is awesome. But there is rubbish around spread by the visitors. Like water bottles, cigarette buds/ packs/ beedis, even used up lingerie, some even dispose condoms, plastic thrash, used up towels etc.

Good place for lovers and couples to take photoshoot here.... Especially I seen colleagues and students there. I went for pre wedding photoshoot,... I faced some issues here ( Parking charges ) Don't pay for parking. It's free of cost....

100% genuine review: The road that's 2 kms from the falls is so narrow that 2 four wheelers cannot pass in parallel in the same time. We struggled alot with this. Second comes the parking space. Theres not enough space for four wheelers during weekends, and if you find places in other's private fields, it can cause problem. Our vehicle was literally locked in someone's private space when we came back, we had no idea it was someone's space. We came out with much difficulty. Plz do not visit anytime other than monsoons. I visited end of July, still very less water and the water is super dirty and so is the place. There's not a very decent crowd and they have littered the place badly. Plz ignore Instagram influencer's videos as those are just lies. There is a lower space where you can get into the water and njoy the fall shower. But it's super crowded during weekends and rocks are slippery. Have to be very careful. There is an upper space as well, you have to walk few meters to reach there. I personally did not like the ambience, nor the crowd. Getting into the water seemed risk to health. There were many groups who came for pre wedding shootings. There are some shops selling chips, biscuits and water, raw mango, fruit salads, Manchurian, bhajjis etc but they are pricey, I got a 10 RS lays chips packet for 15 rs. And a plate of spiced raw mangoes for 50 rs

A beautiful place - nature, adventure, fun - for adults and children both. Just that the place has become dirty because of the visitors, who throw garbage just anywhere. The roads are fine, except the last stretch. Parking space is limited. One can bath but there is no place to change clothes. Wear comfortable shoes because there is a hiking trek to the falls. Not tiresome but just over a km, may be.
