A wonderful peace and calm beach where you can spend your free time. There won't be any huge visitors. You can enjoy the beauty of sea and land.. you can also see the joining of river and sea here. The greenary of the trees and yellow of sand, blue of sky and water will leads to a misty world. If you are lucky you will get crabs there. You can find fishermens going to and fro for fishing. There are small resort and home stays near the beach. Some time there will be amist formation in that place that is like spaying of cold water in the atmosphere. It's easy accessible for all . A must visit spot just away from the busy of town.

I recently visited Thottada Beach and had a wonderful experience! The beach is clean and well-maintained, with soft white sand and clear blue waters. Calm and serene atmosphere..almost clean beach..just to enjoy evenings..there are no facilities nearby except some resorts and homestays.

It's such a calm and quiet place. A good spot if you are outing with friends, family... Not much of people on week days. But the water level is getting into the shore these days. Be careful while visiiting with kids.

Well, if you are very confident in your driving, that too in a terribly narrow hilly road, please visit here, else, better not to. Google Maps showed me a way to reach the beach, but it didn't indicate that the lane is not an inch wider than a car could fit. If that was not enough, it was a blind lane too. So, taking a u-turn itself was a deal. We parked the car on the road and literally ran to take a glance at the place, and ran back before some other car came in. Another vehicle did come in, though fortunately, it went inside a resort there. Otherwise, I don't know what I would have done to come out of that pocket. The beach was okayish and not worth the risk we took to reach there.

One of the many beaches in kannur . Not too over crowded like other beaches. A nice place to spend evenings. The beach is well maintained and clean. Nice beach to go for a swim and for kids to play. The entrance to the beach is not a proper one. The path is very narrow and not maintained. Its mostly forested. But once you reach the end the beach is such a pleasant view to your eyes.

Reasons to go 1. Not at all crowded 2. Good for swimming Things to keep in mind You are own your own, no life guards to help you or to give directions. Little difficult to reach, you have to have your own vehicle

Nice and quiet beach. Very peaceful area not much crowded. No entry fee , no any shops and restaurants. Small resorts are available near beach. Good option for evening walk and swimming.
