Breathtaking Natural Beauty at Thoseghar Waterfall Visiting Thoseghar Waterfall is an experience to remember! The waterfall is in full glory during the monsoon with its waters plunging from a height with a mesmerizing force. The surrounding greenery adds to the serene beauty, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. There are in fact couple of waterfalls smaller and bigger. The government has made substantial efforts to ensure the safety and convenience of tourists with well-maintained viewing platforms and clear signages. There are small eateries nearby offering local snacks, which adds to the charm of a day out here. Accessibility isn't an issue as the place is well-connected by road; however, to view the waterfall requires a bit of a walk down the steps, which can be challenging for some but is definitely worth the effort.

This waterfalls is a key attraction in Saatara District, Maharashtra. It's incredibly beautiful, though swimming isn't allowed because the view is from far. The entry fee is 100 Rs per person. There are two waterfall views, one small and one large. The journey from Saatara is scenic, with the added sight of windmills.

There are two waterfalls...big and small. The pathway are constructed well, so reaching the viewing area is not problematic. The view is breathtaking . For the small falls, we can even go behind the falls they cave entrance.

One of the famous places in Maharashtra.I recently had the pleasure of visiting Thoseghar Waterfall, and I must say, it was an enchanting experience that left me in awe of the natural beauty of the Western Ghats. Nestled in the heart of Maharashtra, Thoseghar Waterfall is a true gem that deserves every bit of praise it receives.Must-visit destination especially in Rainy season.

It is one of the off-beat locations to visit in Satara in monsoon season. Road approaching to waterfall is quite scenic and in good condition. You can spend couple of hours to enjoy the natural beauty with family and friends. There is a ticket of Rs. 50 per person to visit this waterfall. Parking space is enough to get your vehicle parked. Small tea and snacks stall are available here in monsoon time.

Nice place to go in rainy season. Big waterfalls ...very nice view. Only difficulties is we can watch it from distance. Good road/steps to go till viewing gallery. Safe for even small kids. Barcading/nets install to not go go in unsafe zone. Not much rush (at least on Saturday when we visited). Good time to go when we had lot of rain (to get giant view of falls).

Location: 5/5 Scenic: 5/5 Well Maintained: 5/5 Accessibility Compliant: No* Time Required: About an hour to visit both the big, small waterfalls and cave. One of the most scenic waterfalls in Maharashtra. It has 2 sections 1) Big waterfall:- We can 3 big waterfalls in our panoramic view with lush green valley during the monsoon season 2) small waterfall and cave:- We go pretty close to this waterfall it falls from the height of say 5-10 meters. There is cave below this waterfall and its a must visit Thoseghar waterfalls is a scenic spot located near the small village of Thoseghar, 20 km from Satara city, at the edge of the Konkan region, in Western India. There are a series of waterfalls, some of them 15 to 20 metres and one of approx 200 metres in height. It is well maintained and has entry fee. At times it's pretty crowded. It is not accessibility compliant. For big waterfalls one has to descend for around 10 mins and for small waterfall and cave one has to descend for about 15-20 mins from the entrance point. Not idle for senior citizens having problems in climbing stairs up/down. Entrance Free INR 50 Free Parking [P] but there is a need of increasing the parking space as its difficult to find parking in monsoon and people tend to park their vehicles on the road side.
