Good local place to visit if you are around Pala/kottayam ..maximum 30 mins spend time ..or u can spend time fishing .. car parking is near the local ground and public place...

The first hanging bridge i ever visited . *An old rusty Bridge. *As every hanging bridge this one also shake a little while walking and that's just amazing. *Lovely view of the Meenachil River. *Evenings and sunsets from here is just amazing *The meadows here are lovely and you can walk and rest there. *The bridge and the land nearby is really beautiful and many wedding photographers and other photographers come here to capture the beauty. *The main highlight of the place is that it is not a crowded destination. **The parking space is small, and can't park the vehicle in road because the road is also narrow (but good roads).

Good place to take photoshoot and for evening walk. Not much crowded. Also we can do fishing.

One of my favorite place.. This really beautiful bridge and the view is relly awesome. Early Morning and evening is best time for spending here.

This beautiful hanging bridge is located in a remote area. But it is easily accessible and has a parking area. While standing on this bridge ,we can enjoy the extreme beauty of Meenachilar river. The people interested in fishing can have a lot of fun here. Everyone can equally enjoy this bridge. But those who come with kids be careful...

Thookkupalam looks great. But the view near thookkupalam is awesome. With the great scenery, Its a great place to spend the evening or morning. Its so green with trees, short grasses and river. Didn't expect this view when searching for thookkupalam was the great part.

Bridge is not maintained well by the PWD dept. Needs a coat of paint urgently to arrest the spread of rust! We can walk over the bridge,it moves a bit as you walk. Enjoy the view of the river beneath. Best time to visit - evenings.

An old, rusty hanging bridge, that has not lost it's charm. It does what it was built for with elegance and grace. It is rickety and since it's a hanging bridge, it moves around a bit once you start walking on it. And you will hear the rivets and joints making a lot of bangs and rattles as you hurry along the bridge, as it is rusty and old. But the view from the middle of the bridge is amazing and worth all the worry that you may have about it collapsing. The premises and the surroundings of the bridge has natural beauty at full blast. The pastures under the bridge is a wonderful place to be at. It is lined with 'kadamba' trees bearing 'Corona Virus' resembling flowers, which are edible and smells sweet. The whole area is really picturesque and in our opinion is a place that should be in the priority list for photoshoots and movies. The locals use this bridge for their daily commute and even carry their bicycles on it. The meadows are grazed by cows and other wildlife. Overall it is one of the hidden gems of Kottayam and if you plan to visit Kottayam, it is a must go to place. The roads that lead to this place are really scenic as well and are lined with Rubber and other evergreen trees. There are boats that are tied to some of the tree stumps and it makes a great place to sit and takes pictures of. Also the bridge foundations on both ends can be used as places to sit upon and relax watching the river flow or the cattle graze.
