Thonikadav View Point - Tourist attraction in Kanthalad - Kozhikode, India

The view of the surrounding hills and valleys from the viewpoint was breathtakingly beautiful. The viewpoint was easily accessible by road and the walk up to the viewpoint was not very strenuous. The viewpoint was clean and well-maintained, and there were ample seating options available to relax and enjoy the view. The cool breeze and serene atmosphere added to the overall experience, making it a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. I would highly recommend visiting Thonikadav View Point to anyone who loves nature and wants to experience the beauty of the surrounding hills and valleys. It is definitely one of the best viewpoints in the area.

Good place to hang out with family. Small park for children and nice place to chill out. But paying 30 rs was a bit harsh. Boat service is not available. Could have used the floating bridge for view. The watchtower didn't offer any spectacular views.

Thonikadavu is known as the 'Ooty of Malabar', Thonikadavu is an offbeat location near Kariyathumpara and on the way to Kakkadyam dam in Kozhikode district. The towering watchtower, placid river, greenery and islands amid the hills provide a refreshing sight to visitors. It is a wonderful picnic spot for tourists to unwind amid cool waters, small rocks and a serene atmosphere.

We visited this place in the evening.... Since it was cloudy, the weather gave an excellent view of the nearby mountains....

Cool place to spend your evenings. There is a ticket of 30 rupees for entry. The place is neat and clean. Boat rides are available. Parking space is also good. Do try the pazhampori and ullivada at the cafe inside.

Pretty meadow, short grass land, a river, and everything perfect for a good picnic or a camping spot. But this beauty is not appreciated by the people and also the govt. Cleanliness have to be maintained. There's a watch tower too near by. Parking is easy on the road side under the shades.

Limited space. A view point is there in the watch tower. Ideal to spend around 20-30 minutes. Try to visit either early morning or evening.
