The statue is really tall and is carved beautifully. The sea surrounding it has a brilliant impact and creates a stunning view. It is one of the tallest statues in India. The passage towards the same from Vivekananda rock is under construction and will be a superb modification to the existing setup. It can be reached only via ferry boat from the coast and will take time if waiting in a queue. Else ticket of rs 300 avoids the waiting time. The sun rise reflection across the statue is great . Also the surrounding lights during night is really a sight to see.
This beautiful Thiruvalluvar statue at Kanyakumari sea coast at a distance of 400 m stands in a small island representing ancient poet of Tamil Nadu Valluvar later called as Thiruvalluvar with honour. 41 m height of statue made of stone and concrete in 1999 has profound base of 38 ft depicting 38 contributions from this poet. His contributions towards ethics, morality, love and economics in form of literature is well known and appreciated. When we visited, this was closed for maintenance since last year. Because, once in four years maintenance work is carried out with chemical coating to preserve this statue from heavy wind, tides and rainfall. This statue is believed as one of the 25th biggest statue in India.
I was in this place with my family. The ambiance is excellent. The statue is decorated well, but no boat is available to the location. You can spend time with mental peace. The best time to visit in the month of July to August during early morning. There will be less crowded at that time slot.
I had experienced the beauty of this statue from the boat and it seems amazing. This statue is 133 feet. This statue belongs to a Tamil poet and the height of the statue represents 133 chapters of his book called tirukkural. The statue attracts the attention of the visitors due to its beautiful sculpture. You can easily see sculpture from the edge from where you board the boat. Sea water is all around the rock on which this statue stands. Mesmerizing view.
The Thiruvalluvar Statue is a colossal statue of the Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar, which is currently under construction off the coast of Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. When completed, it will be the tallest statue in the world, surpassing the Spring Temple Buddha in China. The Thiruvalluvar Statue is a magnificent sight, even though it is still under construction. The statue is 133 meters tall, and depicts Thiruvalluvar standing on a lotus pedestal. The statue is being built on a man-made island, 400 meters off the coast of Kanyakumari. The Thiruvalluvar Statue is a symbol of Tamil culture and heritage. It is also a popular tourist destination, even though it is not yet complete. Visitors can take boat rides to the island to view the statue up close. Although the Thiruvalluvar Statue is not yet open to the public, I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kanyakumari. It is a magnificent sight, and is sure to be one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world when it is completed.
Thiruvalluvar Statue - A Masterpiece of Craftsmanship! As I walk around the magnificent Thiruvalluvar Statue, I am in awe of the incredible detail and craftsmanship that has gone into creating this architectural marvel. This gigantic rock structure is of famous tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. The boat ticket you purchase for vivekanand rock will take you here for a pit stop. You can climb upstairs to see the huge statue from close range. A wonderful known tourist spot in Kanyakumari. When the tsunami hit in 2004 on the shores of Tamilnadu, the waves were so high that it went over the head part of this statue. The statue was restored post the calamity and coloring was done I highly recommend visiting this iconic landmark at least once in a lifetime, as it truly leaves a lasting impression. Standing tall beside the Vivekananda Rock, it is a standout attraction of Kanyakumari. Even from afar, it commands attention and admiration. Unfortunately, due to low tide, the ferry no longer makes a stop at the statue, but it's still worth witnessing its grandeur up close. However, the ferry service could use improvement, as the long queues and waiting times can be frustrating

I was delighted to visit Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kanyakumari for the second time in my life. It was a delightful experience to see the confluence of three seas, viz., Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea, in the prudent ambience. It becomes a pilgrim place to the followers of Tamil poet and philosopher Valluvar. Indeed, this is a very nice place to visit and enjoy the last piece of land of India.
