The beach is not as crowded as say Marina. Also, it is less commercialised and noisy. Overall, a nice place to be in, if one likes beaches that are quiet, beautiful, and clean. I was there during sunrise and it was lovely and refreshing.

One of the finest beaches in Chennai city. Usually clean and safe. Two wheeler, four wheeler parking on weekends and evening is a little difficult. A small temple is also available here. Small eatery shops and horse rides are there. Famous more thatha (moor taattaa) will be available on one end of beach after 1030PM-02AM. No public toilet nearby is the biggest disadvantage here..

One of the cleanest beaches in Chennai.. We were here at 6 AM. Enjoyed the sunrise. As it was a sunday there was some decent amount of footfall. The beach was near and tidy. Overall a very pleasant experience.
