Thirupambram or Sri Seshapuram is in a remote village near Kumbakonam. The shadow Grahas Rahu and Kethu enjoined as one sarpa-snake and worship Siva. Rahu-Ketu dhosha parihaaram is performed here. The temple tank outside is not clean. Temple authorities don't bother for its proper upkeep and maintenance. Uncleaned cloths are used for the deities so that They look pitiful to devotees. Even though named as South kalahasthi, rahu kethu Pooja is totally different from kalahasthi, First we have to worship lord Shiva and vandarkuzhali Amman, put deepam for rahu kethu, tie Vasthiram on Vani tree. This is compulsory for everyone visiting temple. Then for rahu kethu parihara Pooja, they provide separate ticket and things for the Pooja. Pooja performed for half an hour to 40 mins. Then after completing Pooja, they make us to provide annadhanam to the needy people. Annadhanam to 2 people in the name of rahu and 2 people in the name of kethu. Now coming to the price list. Archanai ticket and things in the bag Archanai for appa and amma, 19 diyas. 1 for lord pillayar, 9 for rahu and 9 for kethu, vasthiram with thali for unmarried people and only vasthiram for married people. 300 for unmarried people 400 for married couples For worshipping lord Shiva ( appa) and vandarkuzhali (Amma). This is compulsory and making people to do archanai compulsory whoever visits for the first time. Parihara Pooja. This is separate token. Cost 320rs. Anna dhanam cost separate. Inside temple it cost around 1000rs. Travel. Mini bus available from peralam, kollumangudi. Straight bus from Kumbakonam. Share auto from bus stop to temple. Nearly 3km from bus stop.

Very powerful Rahu ketu parihara temple. One should atleast visit once in life to get the grace of lord. Situated between beautiful paddy fields and gushing waters in canal enroute the temple will sooth your mind.

This temple is located 27kms from Kumbakonam. It is mainly for removing marriage obstacles due to Ragu Ketu. We visited this temple early morning in order to escape from crowd. We need to get ticket for performing Poojai. The Temple has ample parking space.
