Thirunageswaram Naganatha Samy Temple Rahu - Featured Reviews (5182)
This is one of the most powerful temples with very positive vibe. Main diety here is Lord Shiva and there is a Rahu Sannidhi within the temple were special prayers to Rahu is offered. Do carry flowers to offer to Rahu. Worship done by the priest here is very powerful along with Mantra Ghosha. Weekdays crowd is less and preferably visit in the Rahu hora of the day . People with Rahu dosha and Sarpa dosha can offer prayer here.
Tirunageswaram Naganathar Temple also known as Rahu Stalam is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Shiva, located in Tirunageswaram, a village in the outskirts of Kumbakonam, a town in Tamil Nadu, India. It is significant to the Hindu sect of Saivism as one of the temples associated with the nine planet elements, the Navagraha Stalas, and specifically Rahu. Shiva is worshiped as Naganathar, and is represented by the lingam. His consort Parvati is depicted as Piraisoodi Amman. The presiding deity is revered in the 7th century Tamil Saiva canonical work, the Tevaram, written by Tamil saint poets known as the nayanars and classified as Paadal Petra Sthalam. It houses four gateway towers known as gopurams. The temple has numerous shrines, with those of Naganathar, Rahu and Piraisoodi Amman being the most prominent. The temple complex houses many halls; the most notable is the ornamental entrance hall built during the Nayak period. The temple has six daily rituals at various times from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and twelve yearly festivals on its calendar.
Peaceful, relaxed, satisfied and beautiful temple. Rahukaalam pooja is very special here and it blessed a very successful life lead. Never miss an opportunity to visit here is my personal advice.

The temple is special for Raghu. There are special Pooja available. They cost depending upon categories. It is suggested to wash your legs in the "theerthathotti " before entering the temples. After the Raagu pooja they'll offer flowers and palcova. The surface was too hot outside the temple. Walk carefully during heavy sunny days
Famous Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva with separate Sannadhi for Rahu Bhagavan. Located at 5 Km distance from Kumbakonam and well connected by Town Buses. This is one of the Navagraha Temple, dedicated to Rahu Bhagavan. Puja for Rahu Bhagavan is performed daily during Rahu Kala. Very well maintained Temple. Big Tank is situated within Temple premises.
Raghu bagavan temple.....after getting archanai ticket , they allow certain number of people's n locks the gate near sannidhi.....after finishing poojai, next set of people's allowed....
Amazing architecture. It is well maintained and clean. This temple also has drinking water facility inside the temple. It is a place that has the power to express good positive thoughts. There is a small pond inside the temple where you can take a dip. Must go at the time of Milk Abhishekam. I pray that everyone gets his grace and lives happily.
