Tirumalakovil is a marvel made entirely of granite. The decorative carvings on the granite pillars will fascinate anyone. Mainly, idols of Lord Muruk and Ganesha are inside the temple. vehicles can now reach the temple gate by road. Even in the midday sun, the winds of the Western Ghats keep the devotees climbing the mountain untiring.If you look at the hilltop temple, the rice fields and coconut groves of Tamil Nadu are a refreshing sight for the eyes. Besides, there are other beautiful views of the Western Ghats. The ambience here is so calming and peaceful.

Very beautiful temple situated on a hill. The atmosphere and view is very serene and peaceful. They allow vehicles to go up near the temple for a charge of Rs.50 for a car. You do need to walk up a few steps to the temple but it's not very hard.

The lord Murugan in this temples shrine is called 'Thirumalai kumarasamy' or 'Thirumalai murugan'. This temple is the nakshatra temple of people born under Vishaka star. Because of the lords name most of the people in this region have the name 'thirumalai'. There is one more goddess temple within this temple, called 'Thirumalai Kaali amman'. This hill temple is surrounded by many coconut plantations and small villages. Until recently, the only way for devotees to reach the temple was by walking. The temple is also famous for its large number of steps(624). Recently, a road was constructed which enables people to go by two and four wheelers until the temple at the top.

Thirumalaikovil - A mind blowing experience in visiting the temple which is located in a scenic place. This temple is located in the achankovil road where you can visit kumbhavurutty Waterfalls. The road is such amazing for the travel. The temple is located in a small mountain where we can reach here by walking almost 650 steps or even we can drive vehicle here by giving Rs.50 entrance fee. There is a mini bus operated by temple. From the top of the hill you can see adavinainar dam. The views are such amazing. This is a famous Movie shooting spot where recently pushpa movie scenes were shooted...

Temple located on top of a small hill, located near from coutrallam, a famous place known for its waterfalls. The drive up to the hill was amazing, you can take your own vehicle by paying a fee or you can go in the temple vehicle too. The temple is a huge tourist attraction as people who are coming to coutrallam during the season will definitely come here also. The view of the western ghats from the temple is quite good and awesome. We can see many small dams and tourist attractions from the temple.

This the best destination and that I loved very much during this trip. I have actually ignored this temple during noon in the way back from achankovil temple. But in the evening I came here and visited the temple. This is one of the best destination nearby. You can club axhankovil temple, kumbhavuruty waterfall and Thirumalai kovil and also sundarapandya puram. This is the must visit place and you and your kids will enjoy here. This temple is located on a mountain and we can reach here by walking almost 650 steps or even we can drive vehicle here by giving Rs.50 entrance fee. Also another option is shared mini van Service is available here. There is huge wind on top and be careful. I was not able to do Darshan, since I eat nonveg in noon, since this was not planned. So next time I will definitely do Darshan.. The main highlights are the view from here and ambiance. You can see a dam from here and main parts of tamilnadu. Recommended time is in evening or early morning. Thanks.
