*Editing the review after it has become much touristy* People have started coming in from distance like chennai also there have started collecting 20 for motorcycles and 50 for car Went to the temple in cycle and the path was steep for it so walked down all the way up.The climate was awesome with gutsy wind and nature at its best. But could also few tipplers misusing the place as we can see broken bottles on the sides . It's a good place for a morning walk or hike and we can park our vehicles on the foothills as there is no specific parking arrangements but the new tar roads are laid and see to access the top of the hill. There is the hiking trail starting from bottom check post till the bell tower and it is in pristine condition to hike and enjoy.

1. Entry fees is Rs50 for four wheeler and Rs20 for two wheeler. 2. There are no guide rails while going up the hill but it is completely safe as it is not a crowded road. 3. On the top, there is ample parking space available. 4. Scenery all round is simply breathtaking. 5. It is a must visit in Ranipet.

Kanchanagiri hill!It's is located in Ranipet district close to Walajabad. 109 kms from Tambaram. Hill is narrow with hairpin beds, only expert car drivers can drive, but best drive for bikers.t's a nature's view point with temples. It has 1008 suyambu lingam temples, Bell Rock, Big Siva temple, Murugan temples, Anjaneyar temple & Perumal temple. Lot of monkeys are there. But there are no hotels or snacks shops. Water bottles are sold by a shopkeeper there.

This would be an excellent spot for people who love to ride to a near by hill from Chennai. Early morning visit would be pleasant. Do carry water bottle and some snacks if you are planning to walk/trek around. NOTE: No shops at the peak. A beautiful weather would make this place a mini yercaud.

Road safety should be improved. Only trained and confident drivers should be driving up the hill, as it is highly dangerous at certain hair pin bends. Better have plenty of rocks so that you can use it when struck in traffic (to stop car moving down the hill). People from chennai and andhra coming and visiting this beautiful place. Temple should be maintained in a better way. Great place for trekking nd climbers. Even ladies can easily climb up. Absolutely breath taking views available for professional photographers..

Covid trending hill station near Chennai. Around 130km from the city and can easily visit for 1 day trip. Must visit for some short stress free weekend rides. Great view points were there and also famous Bell Rock was at the top of the hill.

A nice place to spend 1 or 2 hr not more than that . . . And you can't climb the hill without vehicle especially for kids coz there's not enough trees to cover the road . No shops in the top so whatever you want just take everything with you @ foothill .Too many monkeys so you can't even keep your things safe in two wheeler's pouch they're smarter than we think . . . And i loved that 2 inch nandhi. And 4 inch lingam . . . Too confusing route from katpadi so don't hesitate to confirm the route that your going . Reach the top @10:30 to 11 And get back to home for lunch. 34Km from green circle ( vellore )

One of the Best Short Hills in Ranipet District with a Beautiful Shivan Temple at the Top and also few Small temples surrounded by it....At the Top 108 Lingams are there,this mountain is not recognized or known by many people, iam writing this review this year 21....and im damn sure that this hills will become a Picnic sopt within 2 years from now..This Hills has very perfectly maintained Road system to go the Top area so u can easily Drive a Car or Bike to get to the Top Spot..This place has #beautiful #scenaries #viewpoint #temple #echopoint #smallshops it is best to visit this place during Early Morning so that u can see a plenty of people doing their morning workouts and Run....and witnessing the Beautiful Sunrise ever in Ranipet District....please do visit here once and share with your Friends...
