I was wonder struck on visiting this place. Madurai's very big second hand market for industrial materials. I have visited similar places like Kannappar Thidal, Chennai and Puducherry's Govindan Street. Madurai market is the bigger one and varieties of shops are also available. Pet shops, furnitures, vehicle spares, machine spares and the most inevitable steel materials. All at one place is the major advantage. For anything go to Thilagar Thidal Sandhai. Smithy and fabrication worksops are also available. Prices are reasonable and vendors are all polite. Sunday Market is Superb. Though all are scrap and junk, a sherwd hobbyist could find useful materials.
