Theppakadu Reception Center - Tourist information center in Theppakadu - The Nilgiris, India

Should go there before 10a.m. Unfortunately, we didn't get the ticket for Jungle Safari. People say that we should be there at 6a.m. for the best experience.

Good place. The staffs guide the visitors well.

We booked our accomodation online for stay in the Mudumalai guest room (Cuckoo) and coordinated further from this office for tiger safari by gypsy vehicle and elephant ride. We could spot a large number of deer, monkies, and wild dogs in addition to a large variety of birds. It was a great experience, especially the stay inside the forest. The room has four single beds with attached bathroom. However, taps are broken /leaking and lights are missing. Maintenance of the guest room has scope for improvement. Overall, it was enjoyable

We had to wait for a long time. First, in the queue, they'll first serve people who has cash then comes the card holder. Second for the Jeep, which had lots of spiders. In the reception, they also have Animals Sighted by Visitors board, where they'll provide the date of the last sighted animals, not sure how accurate it is. Fortunately, atleast we sighted Dhole. We went during afternoon, may be the better time would be evening or morning to see more animals.

Such a luxury place sorounded with nature! Loved it. Good people always help tourists interns of route, food & stay.

The jungle safari and the jungle accommodation are managed by this reception centre in Theppakadu and the staff provide adequate information. Unfortunately, the safari needs some improvement. The driver of our Camper looked least interested for an early morning drive into the jungle. The driver, who supposedly double as a guide, didn't utter a word and was not up to the mark in wildlife spotting. May be he just doesn't like this job!

Had to wait for 1hr to get ticket for safari. Facility person responded very well but safari was not satisfied can't complain we can't see all animals it's of pure luck.

Too much rush during holidays and weekends, if you want to enjoy the safari and staying in theppakadu book in advance during non holidays season. Food options for veg is not good in the forest guest house.
