Its a beautiful location beyond words . But you should know some hidden spots to avoid unwanted crowds . Its very close to Coimbatore city and roads are smooth and easy to reach the spot . Weekends are over crowded. Can visit the Dam , snake park and rope way are the other activities you can do here . Nearest town is Palakkad . You can experience some amazing food joints on the way back .
Thekke malampuzha usually known as ( kava ) .. but proper kava is near anakkal opposite side of thekke malampuzha.. the best spot for family , couples , friends etc .. if you want to just hangout in the nature - then go for it ... (NB: don't put waste inside reservoir.. if you see anything like plastic cover or waterbottles just take it and hand over to the nearest shop) make our compounds clean and clear
We went back side of Malampuzha Dam, almost half of the water was drained due to warmer climate in palakkad. So we took our car inside back side of Dam for one Kilometer. From their entire kava mountians was visible and we took good pics and had good time.
Good picnic spot with wonderful nature.. Views were superb. But not try to go to water in dam.
A good place to hangout near Malampuzha. Good view from back side. Very silent and calm place. if you plan to hangout peacefully away from crowd this is the place. Drive slowly, less than 20km, the road is very narrow with sharp bends.

A nice place in the bank's of malampuzha reservoir.....around 4-5 km drive from Malampuzha Rope way entry/parking. Take left from.their and rove they the bank's of water body....It's a beautiful view and very calm.and quite place.....U can walk near to the water. The view is very similar to Kava and it's actually the opp side of kava. Better to come back before dark as the roads are very deserted and very few homes on the way. Carry enough water and eatables ( plz don't through garbages their) as shops are very very less on that route.... # Plz don't enter water as it's dangerous # Keep the surroundings neat and Clean # Happy and Safe Journey

Experience in the ropeway was really wonderfull. Its a 15 minute ride . It is located outside the malampuzha gardens. Near the parking area. two person can sit in one cable car. One normal tocket cost is 71 rs. But you can take vip ticket for 108 Rs
