The Yellow Retreat - Resort hotel in Bopardi - Satara, India

Serenely beautiful place, easily approachable as it is located few km away from Wai but before the hilly areas start. Developed very nicely to give you nature's real feel. Good for those who want to stay away from Mahabaleshwar's commercial experience. Food is cooked to order and is okay. Mapro and Gandharv are good outside resto locations nearby. Overall a good stay for families who will enjoy privacy and coziness of the place.

Quiet location and sprawling grounds make this place a perfect spot for someone seeking peace, or a group just wanting to have fun. We were fortunate to go on a weekend where the entire resort was empty. Pool needs better maintenance - cleaning and water level. Same goes for rooms - door locks are broken, some of the furniture needs repair. Food is cooked and served by local people, so anyone looking for an authentic regional taste will find it really good. Place has a relaxed vibe to it, and once in your room with the attached common balcony, the mesmerizing view might make you forget all about the little inadequacies. P.S. Lots of bugs in the night. Carry bug spray and keep room windows closed.

It was a pleasant experince at the resort.The resort staff was polite and very attentive giving their all to fulfill needs required special thanks to Mr.Ajay Mandhare. Overall a wonderfull experince around Nature and serenity.

One of the best retreats thus far. Cam and peaceful. We happened to stumble upon this and were a little skeptical at first, but all that went away. Let me start with the security guard.. he was friendly and greeted us with a smile. He was aged, but prompt. Being the 1st point of contact to the resort, that was refreshing. Food is reasonable and really good. The chef Sanjay does a great job. Rooms are clean and neatly kept. They have an indoor game room that is well maintained. Location is great. Slightly tough to find the place.. but the gps works well. Pool is clean and staff are friendly and courteous. This place has now become my weekend getaway. I pretty muck know everyone from the staff considering this was my 6th visit..and trust me, will surely be back soon. Con : common balcony. Not that bad, just feels a little weird.

My wife and me stayed for 3 nights at Yellow Retreat in Aug16. Real value for money. Awesome location near Wai/ Panchgani , good cold breeze, cool and calm place surrounded by mountains. Homely hospitality by Devyani and Team. Good food, spacious rooms, 15-20min from NH4, amenities like swimming pool, billiards, table tennis, badminton, carrom etc. Resort also has conference hall. Nice place for easy trekking on nearby hills. Dhom and Balkawadi Dams, Panchgani, Mandardevi are 30-60 min drive away. Look forward to visit again sometime during summer holidays.

Went to this resort in the long weekend.. I was looking for a calm place with good facilities & scenic beauty.... this hotel is an independent property located 30 minutes before panchgani... it is spread over a pretty large area with a swimming pool (which is good but if is hardly cleaned as it is hardly used)..good homely restaurant, fantastic gaming area with TT , carrom, pool, fussball and Cricket... it is surrounded by beautiful hills and though it's pretty close to the crowded panchgani and mahabaleshwar, it seems to be secluded...the rooms are in 2 separate buildings with around 20 rooms in total...seg of 3 rooms share a balcony..rooms and bathrooms are very spacious & clean and the view from the balcony is very relaxing... Non veg food was a bit disappointing but overall dinner and breakfast was pretty good.... Service was also very good with good hospitality shown by all.. No Complaints at all except the swimming pool as it isn't very well maintained as hardly any guests use it... overall it was a great experience...would surely recommend friends and family to visit for a perfect weekend getaway......

Positives: great location, beautiful view from room and Restaurant, spacious room, good balcony, nice food - cheese omelette n dal tadka very good Negatives: saw lizard in room, sliding glass door came out n fell down, luckily I and my kid did not get hurt, intercom not working, ..., breakfast in package not good.

the retreat is in a very natural setting...so once feels very connected to nature..it's so green.. it's refreshing. the food is also very nice, like home cooked
