The environment which is created there for animals is very attractive and looking so natural. More comfortable to spend time with family at evening time. The entry fee is also worth.But parking area should have to elaborate on weekends.

What a fantastic zoo! I had an amazing time exploring all the different animal exhibits. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great family day out! A visit to this zoo is a must if you're in the area. The variety of animals is impressive, and the enclosures seem spacious and well-maintained. Will visit again

Thiruvananthapuram Zoo is a must-visit for anyone visiting the city. It is a well-maintained zoo with a wide variety of animals, including tigers, monkeys, leopards, lions and more. The grounds are very nicely landscaped and provide a great atmosphere to appreciate all the different animals. The zoo also has a number of educational exhibits, making it a great place to learn about animals, trees and their habitats. The entry fee is 30 per head.

An old style zoo, with some animals kept in open enclosures and some other in steel cages. Some enclosures in not very good conditions and overcrowded. Some maintenance works were ongoing. A favourable point is the prohibition of plastic, including plastic water bottles, allowed only with a deposit, way higher than the bottle cost. Good to make people think. Overall worth the visit, although lots of room to improve

The last time I went to the zoo was Almost 10 years ago and I thought of visiting the place once again and imo they have maintained the place so well and it was a good experience as well,the staff were friendly but the security at the main gate was kinda rude, anyway they've developed the place from what I saw before. Everybody should visit the place it's got a good ambience

Nice zoo in the heart of the city.. plastic free, well maintained, cooperative staff, good collection of animals.. a good 2 to 3 hrs of time required to cover the zoo. Visiting on a weekday will save your time in entering the zoo space.

The animals are seen at their natural environment. The zoo is really big with many carnivores and herbivores enjoying their freedom within the enclosures. It also showcases many tropical plants and is a miniature forest. One wonderful thing was that there are useful information about the habitat,origin, apart from their scientific names and common names which was very educative. A serious student of biological sciences would find it useful. A must destination for kids with their friends and family. An ideal place for picnics and get-together. The entrance is very modest.

Trivandrum Zoo is one of the oldest zoo in Kerala. The day I visited was a rainy one. To say the truth, it was clean though it was muddy and wet. There was no litter lying around. All plastic bottles and covers were to be stamped at the gate by paying a deposit. The deposit is given back fully when exiting the zoo. The animals were pretty healthy compared to other zoos I have been to. I did wish that the bird enclosure were higher which would have given them a more free feeling. The 16 year old male tiger Manu was majestic. I loved him very much. He was very happy and carefree. It was mesmerizing to watch him have his lunch. It is very good place for a visit with friends and family.
