Thai and Vegan? Being a vegan (and I love Thai food!), I struggled to find this combination in Thailand and when I discovered this place here in Bengaluru, I had to try it! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, a cozy setting. The owner, incredibly friendly, not only arranged the seating to accommodate our group but also added a personal touch to enhance our experience. Let's talk about the highlight - the food! Each dish we had, which we had pre ordered, matched the descriptions on the menu. The presentation was great, and the authentic Thai flavours were evident throughout. Had to give a special mention for the Glass Noodle Salad, Paper Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce, Khao Suey Takraw, Kaeng Massaman, and the Thai Evolved Red Curry Burger. And of course, the Vegan Brownie and Tender Coconut infused with mint leaves The service was great. The team were extremely helpful and well-versed in the menu, particularly when we had inquiries about food allergies. Overall, a solid 5 star for the food, service and ambience! Oh, and a little extra tip - they sell their delicious homemade Thai Sauces and Thai Curry pastes!
Absolutely the best Vegan restaurant in the city. I visited on a weekday and it was absolutely quiet, no people, just enjoyed my food with a soothing Thai music. Everything was extremely perfect, the vibe, the music, the food, the restaurant and coincidentally the climate was great. What I ordered --> Appetiser: 1. Tofu Tempura dipped in fresh garlic chilli basil sauce (Thempura) - The tofu was soft from inside, and the sauce was tasty. The combination was perfect. But it was less spicy. If ordering this appetiser and if you're a fan of spice, let them know. Main dishes: 2. Stir fried glass noodles with vegetables and tofu (Pad woon sen) -The noodles combination with the soft tofu and crunchy vegetables was awesome. It looks appetizing too. It's less spice and kindly let the chef know if you wanted it more spicy. 3. Thai evolved Massaman curry burger - The content of the burger was fabulous. I loved the taste, but tbh, didn't like the burger bread, it was just okay. They will have to focus on the bread. Desserts: 4. Maprao on - You can't stop with one "Maprao On", unless you've 2-3 of them, you'll feel sufficient. It's a thai traditional dessert and it's superb. Going by the looks, I was skeptical, but one spoon in my mouth changed my whole judgement on this. You might think I'm hyping it too much, but that's what I felt like. It's partially similar to Indian's custard pudding texture. 5. Fresh coconut ice cream sundae - I didn't find much special about the ice-cream, it was good. It didn't make me feel like I need more of this. Just because it's vegan, I ordered and tried it. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. I'll definitely increase my frequency of visiting this restaurant and update this review with more items. We were 2 and our bill came to out to be approx 1500/-, so I'd say a person could eat around 750/- to 1000/- of food. But honestly, don't look at the price, it's a once in a while privileged food, so dig into the food with full delight. PS: Kindly do not judge this review as a paid review just because it is lengthy. I'm an honest 100% local guide helping people like you and businesses grow by providing genuine feedbacks.
Authentic Thai restaurant. Everything is prepared so fresh. So, you have to pre order. Food recommendations : Do try spring rolls with peanut sauce. Sauce is so fresh. Stir fry glass noodles is so yum! Curries are great too. Brownie with coconut ice cream. Burgers are a treat.
This beautiful little restaurant in a quiet, residential area is a must visit! It's a cozy space to spend a few hours over delicious food and friendly conversation in a lovely garden setting. A group of us decided to pre-book our lunch there on a Sunday. Right from the moment we walked in, the energy felt welcoming and peaceful. Everyone enjoyed the meal (vegans and non-vegans alike). We'd ordered a LOAD of stuff because the variety was too tempting to resist. Hehe My favourites among them were: Rice Paper Rolls with Peanut Sauce and Sweet and Spicy Sauce Both varieties of Sushi -- Veggie Crunch and Peanut Butter Tofu Glass Noodles Stir-fried with Tofu and Veggies All the dips and sauces were fresh, flavourful and made in-house. The main course portion sizes are very generous! Chef Nandu Asrani spent plenty of time chatting with us. It was really nice to hear about his journey as a vegan and then a restauranteur. Dinesh, served us our food with a friendly smile. He was very helpful with clicking pics of us too. The other young guy (forgot to ask his name) was very sweet too. Shy and smiley, doing his work quietly and efficiently. Overall the team took great care of us! Because there are no walk-ins (they only accept advance bookings), there's no chance of overcrowding. Works great because that food deserves being enjoyed slowly, in peace.
Its a small place serving Thai Vegan food. You will have to pre-order by about 2-3 hours before. The owner shares the menu over WhatsApp which can help you decide and he is kind enough to suggest you a few items based on your requirements. All items are freshly prepared. Coming to food we ordered - Thai Fresh Paper Spring roll with peanut sauce- 4/5. The roll is delicious, the ingredients feel fresh, the peanut sauce is absolutely heavenly (best I have tasted), but overall its a cold roll, which takes away some fun from the experience. Thai Tangy Peanut Salad- 4/5 Khao Suey Takraw (Pani puri with Khao Suey filling)- 4.5/5 only complain being the the puri being not crispy. Drunken Noodles- 3/5 Pineapple Fried Rice- 4/5
"The Thai Vegan Kitchen is a must-visit for both vegan and Thai food lovers". The restaurant is owned by Nandu, who is very serious about using fresh ingredients and reducing food waste. This is why all food is prepared to order, and reservations are required for both dine-in and takeaway. The attention to detail in the preparation of each dish was evident, and the flavors were simply outstanding. The use of fresh ingredients was noticeable in every bite, and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful. The dine-in place is neatly arranged and has a positive vibe. The green ambiance and soothing Thai-Japanese garden music playing in the background create a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. It's the perfect setting to savor the delicious vegan Thai cuisine. I had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes from the menu, including the Khao Seuy, Thai Tofu Red Curry Burger with Corn Salad, Pineapple Fried Rice, Summer Rolls with Peanut Dipping Sauce, Maprao On dessert, Lemongrass and Lime Mojito, and Lemongrass Pandan Tea. Each dish was a delight to the senses and showcased the skill and creativity of the owner and staff. The Khao Seuy was a flavorful and hearty noodle dish, with perfectly cooked rice noodles and a curry sauce that was packed with umami flavor. The Summer Rolls were a highlight, with their fresh and crispy texture. The accompanying peanut dipping sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness and nuttiness. The Thai Tofu Red Curry Burger was a delicious and satisfying vegan burger, with the tofu patty cooked to perfection and the corn salad adding a nice crunch. The Pineapple Fried Rice was a refreshing and light dish, with the pineapple and rice cooked just right and the chili flakes providing a delightful kick. For dessert, the Maprao On was a decadent treat. The coconut ice cream and pandan jelly were perfectly balanced, creating a creamy and aromatic delight. To complement the meal, I enjoyed the Lemongrass and Lime Mojito, a refreshing and well-crafted cocktail. The combination of lemongrass, lime, mint, and soda was simply refreshing and invigorating. The Lemongrass Pandan Tea was a calming and aromatic tea that provided a pleasant ending to the dining experience. Overall, my experience at The Thai Vegan Kitchen was exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great vegan Thai meal. The commitment to fresh ingredients, no food wastage, and a delightful dining ambiance make it a standout destination for both vegans and Thai food enthusiasts.
The food here is healthy, wholesome and delicious. The owner asked us to order in advance as everything is prepared fresh and not pre made like other restaurants. We had our meal in a charming outdoor area with beautiful plants surrounding us. I have had Thai food in 5 countries including Thailand and this one of the best meals that I have had. Delighted to discover this gem of a restaurant in Bangalore. Would highly recommend a visit to this place.
The delectable food and peaceful atmosphere makes The Thai Vegan Kitchen an ideal dining experience. Nandu and the staff are courteous and professional. The simplicity, lightness and beautiful flavors of the food are commendable. Everything on the menu is well thought out and delicious. I highly recommend experiencing the authentic vegan Thai cuisine being offered here, it is truly outstanding. Have been here several times and will be back soon. Thank you TVK.
