The rooms are super beautiful, very well maintained,clean and comfortable. The food was also good with good variety. The only drawback is though it is hardly 3-4km from most sightseeing places, the cab takes you from the city and charges a lot from this place. So we hired activas and that problem was solved too. Nearest restaurant was around a km away. So with small kids, its a bit challenging. Hiring a 2wheeler helps.
Lovely stay with best quality rooms, facilities and I have stayed in 2 different rooms one with balcony and other without balcony, both are spacious, good interior, all facilities...so must say that it's best value for money you get...
I stayed here for 2 days and faced the following issues, 1. When requested for early check in as our train was early, they charged us 25% of total room fare for checking in at 9AM. Else they wanted us to wait till 1pm even though they had rooms available. 2. Service was poor, they denied us delivering our food we ordered from outside to our room. Plus, we had to wait for an hour to get room service to clean our room. 3. Location is ok. It's not by the lake at all. You can find better options if you want to stay near lake Pichola but don't go for this one. Overall an okay type of hotel but we expected more looking at the reviews. Maybe we booked online and not directly with them is why we received differential treatment.
Sierra is no doubt one of the best budget hotels in Udaipur. All the staffs are very hospitable and polite. Rooms are spacious and very clean with flamingo theme. Food served in their roof top restaurant was also very tasty. So, overall it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
Our room was really nice and clean. We went to the rooftop for dinner and food was good. However, the service was extremely slow because the waiters were looking at their phones the whole time and ignoring us completely. Breakfast options are a little limited.
I recently stayed at Sierra in Udaipur after selecting it based on what appeared to be high ratings on Make My Trip. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant, and I feel it's essential to share this cautionary tale. We had booked an executive room, but the room's quality was subpar compared to other hotels in the city. The rooms were plain and quite small, lacking even a basic almirah for storing clothes. This made it inconvenient to keep our belongings organized, as we had to hang our clothes around the room. The washroom was also exceptionally cramped; it was so small that opening the door obstructed the passage on the other side. One of the hotel's supposed strengths is its proximity to Fateh Sagar and Lake Pichola, but it's much farther from these attractions than advertised. I'm unsure how this hotel received full bookings, but it's essential to exercise caution when booking here. There are many other hotels in Udaipur offering better quality and value for your money. The one redeeming aspect of Sierra was its food, which was genuinely delicious. However, this alone couldn't compensate for the overall unpleasant experience of staying there. I hope this review help others make an informed decision.
