The Shillong Club Ltd and RESIDENTIAL - Club in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

I have been to Wards lake. Go there for jogging everyday morning. They charge Rs. 200/- per month for morning walkers. Beautiful place for walk. Breathe fresh air in city.

We booked the stay here for 4 days, for a group of 10 ppl (Had 5 rooms). We had terrible experience. 1. Water supply issue was bad and had to complain multiple times to get it fixed 2. Most of the rooms were smelling bad like cigar smell, when we asked for room spray, they sprayed floor cleaner all over the bed and on the floor, which was smelling worst. 3. The hot water supply was bad and also the water was brown in colour, very poor maintenance and support 4. The admin/reception had confusion about the complementary breakfast and dinner, it was not clear at all and for the first two days we struggled a lot to get food 5. The restaurant waiters were very rude to take orders from a group. They kept repeating the dishes and didn't really care to listen properly. Only thing I liked was their food taste, everything else was very poor.

One of the oldest properties in Shillong. The rooms were good but we got a ground floor room due to the festive rush .

The Shillong Club is a iconic place in Shillong that reflects the pomp and grandeur of the erstwhile capital of undivided Assam province. It has retained its vintage looks and adapted to the modern technology. The food that is served here is the best in taste, quality and presentation, and the servers are really well mannered. The ambience is very classy overall.

The Shillong Club's residential accommodation was a great find. The staff was incredibly helpful in assisting me with local recommendations and travel arrangements. The rooms were cozy, and I loved the quiet atmosphere of the club.

The service was wonderful. We were a large group of 16 adults and 5 kids .. ages 85 to 1 month. The staff was wonderful and helping. Food was very good in taste and was served hot. They even packed breakfast for us when we went sightseeing early in morning.

Apart from the location the property is really not up to the mark . We booked a cottage .It's not worth the price . Even complimentary breakfast wasn't included , which is now considered a basic amenity with the accommodation in even basic properties. The most unprofessional thing that happened and that alone is a deterrent to now stay there again was that an 'inebriated server walked inside the room without knocking' . He got us water bottles and just barged in the room . THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE! Please look into these issues ! I wish to stay there again as it is a beautiful property in a great location .

Loved staying here. The rooms are immaculate but the bathrooms need renovation to be modernised. The food, the weather and the service is 100%. Members of affiliated clubs should make sure to have their home clubs send Shillong Club a member introduction email, to avail the club facilities. Walking distance from police bazaar, which has all the places to eat and shop.
