Here the ambience is of royal in nature with high ceilings and dome shaped roof, high ceiling lights and chandeliers.
This restaurant even has a stage meant for performance in one end.
For inhouse guests,there is a morning breakfast buffet with n number of dishes.

The prices neither justify the dishes nor the quantity,however the ambience is what makes it worth the cost.
Vintage property..Have to be there whenever you are in Mysore.. Spacious parking space... Service staff courteous... Service is bit slow..Food is not to the standards for the roof it is served... Quantity served is with large portions but taste is very poor. Biriyani served tastes like Nitrogen preserved...

All for the heritage and vintage feel, just look up and not down when you enter the property. Smelly restaurant with pests feasting on the left overs which is dumped in the royal pathway. Lol..my experience was far beyond the imagination of how not to maintain a heritage property. Silliest menu, seemingly annoyed staff, and a super dirty restaurant! Blame the staff? Blame the management (Jungle Lodges) or Blame ourselves for making a mockery out of our desires to dine at The Lalitha Mahal!!!
A delightful experience.. Had a great time. Subbaiah and team were extremely courteous and gave a exceptional and excellent service. It was a wonderful dinner time for me. Loved the food especially the way the respond to ur requests is far better than any of the hotels and restaurants that I have been .. It is a heritage property so can have the vibes of the king and the queen and even their service makes u feel that u r one.
The ambiance is surely amazing , but the food is not upto it. The food is very average and have visited for evening snacks and they hardly have any options.
Better to pay the entry fee and just utilise that for coffee here to see the grand palace. It's not worth trying food here.
You can have food at reasonable price royally. Excellent ambience and service. Food is not that great.
Very average buffet for a huge cost of 750+tax. Just one starter, one desert, and an exact total of 6 other dishes and they call it a buffet. Highly dissatisfied!!
And since we had gone just for dinner, the staffs there won't let us explore the palace as that's restricted only for those staying in hotel.
Now, how can I even quantify this hugely-priced dinner "an experience" if all we should do is to just walk to the buffet place of this beautiful palace and return without experiencing/exploring anything ?
We had lunch at lalithaa mahal palace. If I can describe lunch in one word, it was PATHETIC. Items were neither hot nor tasty. Considering we were dining at the palace, we were expecting decent food. For the price they charge, you can get excellent quality food in other restaurants.
Avoid this place for lunch.
And, it's better not to talk about the condition of the rest room.

Delicious, fresh, fluffy idli! I love the tanginess of the fermented rice. The coconut chutney was just the right balance of cool and spiciness to make me practically spoon it into my mouth. The vada was hot and crunchy. See you next Sunday!
