The Royal Plaza, Gangtok - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

We stayed here for 2 nights Staff is well mannered and caring. The rooms are nice and spacious. Hygienic, neat and clean. We were a little disappointed with the room service.

I came here to write a review after we stayed here for 3 Nights with a group of 60 people. As a tour manager I have seen many hotels in many locations, but this hotel and their services are different, they serve things with immense patience, gratitude and love. Our group was very much happy with this hotel. for this I would like to appreciate firstly Mr. Abhishek for his kind attitude and clear work mind at front office& his team members. Then Mr. Prabin Mukhya F&B manager, for his always alertness and impeccable patience at restaurant & his beautiful team members at restaurant Ms Suklahmu, Ms Aakruti, Ms Priyanka, Mr Pravin Rai and Karma Geley. I would also appreciate their House keeping team Ms Devi and all the departments for their smiley and kind service. I hope will soon meet you all. (Special Thanks to Chef. and his team for the all delicious food served during our stay).

I stayed in The Royal Plaza for three days with my wife and Dr Shukla and Mrs Shukla and found the hotel to be one of the best with good nice and clean rooms. The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful to the guests specially Priyanka, suk Lhamu, Akriti and Karma are the assets of the hotel who took exceptional care of the guests

One of the best hotels with good comfortable stay. It's a large property , descent , beautiful, aesthetically kept , well maintained and managed. The staff is courteous and food is really good, especially the buffet breakfast. I along with 7 family members stayed there for 1 day , then went to nearby places and after 6 days we had bookings at some other hotel at Gangtok, when we went to other hotel(hotel Summit) we were disappointed there and we again preferred to come back to ROYAL PLAZA, as they are really good hosts. It's a peaceful place and really a good star hotel , and the manager along with all staff members are always there for guests. We all highly recommend this place and would love to go back to Gangtok once again

I would definitely not recommended this hotel to anyone. Can you imagine ,, A 4 star resort , which does not have running hot water, they supply hot water for a limited period only.they have mentioned that they have in-house Casino , Swimming Pool , 24 hrs coffee shop. But on ground all is missing. And on top of that the lifts are also not in working condition.We checked in 30th March 22 , and the room was last disinfected on 22Feb 22.Proper toiletries items were also not provided ,Only soap and shampoo. Its is definitely not worth the amount they are charging for the room .

The rooms were nice. The bed was good. The breakfast was good. Other than that there are a host of problems. It is under staffed. The food menu has nothing different to offer. The hakka noodles that we ordered had a load of oil in it. The chicken had been cooked to a crisp on low heat. So it felt as if we are chewing leather. The locks don't work properly all the time, but some of the staff did try to be helpful. The experience could have been much better.
