I am a firm believer that a food joint/restaurant, above all, should be judged by the quality, quantity, and taste of the food served, along with the service of the place. However, it is also true that any place trying to establish an honest business should be supported if it checks all the right boxes. This place does this for me. The young entrepreneur has taken out his time to mark up this North Kolkata lane with his paintbrushes & spatulas. We tried several quick bites including sandwiches and momos and to my satisfaction, all of these tasted more than decent. Yes, there is some way to go before a standalone dish is created here, but everything on offer at this point deserves a repeat visit. Do call them before visiting as they don't prepare much excess food. Enjoy the Rowak in the old Kolkata charm and have a good time with your companions basking in the warm hospitality.

I must say it is one of the most homely places I have ever been. Its a beautiful place to spend some quality time with your friends. The food is also really nice and the owner is also amiable. Totally this is a very fun place to go.

Rowak's is a food joint in North Kolkata.They provide tea in Edible Kulhad also. Located near Hatibagan and nearest Metro station is Sovabazar. You can find it in Google Map also. Also you get Sandwiches,Cold Coffee here. Cost for Two 200-400

Could never imagine a cafe like this. It will take u to the nostalgic Rowak culture. Taste and the quality of food is really impressive. But pls don't forget to inform the owner before going.

The photographer in me takes me places- and some really cool ones, to say the least. The Rowak's can be termed as a very creative venture, if you will. Themed cafes are the rage, and what a nice way to step into the trend! A feature common to North Calcutta residences, The Rowak will take you on a tour to the past- and guess what's better? The food is super affordable. A little bit of expansion might do no harm, though- the limited space is perhaps it's only shortcoming. Splashed with amazing graffiti, set in the gullies of North Calcutta amidst friendly neighbours (I will vouch for that)- a perfect place for your evening retreat.
